Well actually, if the stories are false, she has the right to sue for slander. So in theory if the bloggers who blogged that she stepped down because of a investigation or for bribery charges are false, she has the right to sue.

Obama had the right to sue her for what she said, but he knew that everything she said was true and it could be proven

An additional comment - Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, Gibson, etc. get away with making wild statements about people they attack because they attack public figures. They know that these folks, should they wish to sue, would be wasting their money on lawyers.

Palin is a public figure and will most likely remain so. As such, the courts have already determined that she is fair game. All talk of lawsuits againist her critics is pure hype. She might file one or two lawsuits but, because she cannot afford such legal costs, that would be all. All would very likely never come to trial or be settled. The judge would simply dismiss them.

It was the conservatives that marched with Martin Luther King. When did Revisionist History become the norm with you people?

The 'big ethics violation investigation' is probably it! BINGO!
IF she gets indicted on BIG charges, that's it, her political career is OVER! So from her perspective, it's better to quit up front, offer a bogus reason or two, 'hide behind God'---say you're on a mission from God, and then QUIT!

Often times quitting office results in NO investigation of these politicians, because they are no longer in that position and able to cheat the public any further! So, investigators don't bother!

That's why I think she quit. Quit to avoid charges, but preserve your
ability to remain in politics!

Her only 'mission' is to enrich herself at the expense of the public.

Since 1987, the stupid have been allowed to finish their sentences. Not only that, they have been allowed to silence the intelligent in midstream. The stupid are confusing the parties "Republican" and "Democrat" with concepts "republic" and "democracy" such that they call for an end to democracy (not kidding, heard at a 7/4 tea party). If Palin's inability to read and write does not impede her, then the intelligent will have to get muscular.

Politicians are basically a bunch of 2 faced back stabbing liers/con artists. I really don't think Sarah Palin fits in with that group of people. Best wishes Mrs. Palin.
