Alaska Governor Struggled With an Inhospitably Post-Campaign Environment
- "She will be received by thousands of adoring supporters wherever she goes-a much more appealing prospect than what she currently faces in Alaska."
If the people of Alaska - those that know her best - hate her guts, then why in the world would ANYONE think that she's going to do this country any good?
She's dumber than Bush, and would make an even bigger mess of this country than he did. - Reply to this comment
- The Clintons were never,"attacked", by the right?
Obama, and his family aren't under attack?
lmao
Politics ain't a one way street.
And stop already, with the,"communist dictatorship", babble.
The,"Decider", is in Dallas. Our long, National Nightmare is over. - Reply to this comment

Rubbish. Hillary lost because we Democrats knew that if we nominated her that the Republicans would start the entire circus up again about Bill Clinton's infidelity, that's all we would ever hear about in the news. Americans don't like it when a cheater gets away with it, and since Hillary didn't divorce Bill, that turned a lot of people against her. Keep in mind that Clinton's blow job scotched Gore's chances to win in 2000 - if the BJ hadn't happened, Gore would have won by a comfortable margin. But, he was tainted.
Who cares about Bill's infidelity? That's NOTHING compared to what Bush has done. What Bill Clinton did had nothing to do with the running of the country. Yes, Hillary chose to ignore his infidelity, but so do MILLIONS of other women. How many men out there are s-c-r-e-wing around on their wives and they are looking the other way? - Reply to this comment

- Hillary does have a brain, but she lacked freshness. Her campaign was tainted with a past she was unable to shake. There is also the fact that the backwards politicians from the Middle East and from Asia do not respect women, and I think that created some anxiety for voters.
Obama was inexperienced and his intellectual capacity is unknown, but neither was he associated with any past failures or regimes. He beat Hillary through charisma and the somewhat fuzzy logic of many Americans that we need a leader who will help us regain favor in the world's eyes. - Reply to this comment
- The tactic is Empty Sloganeering, a neocon favorite, and the neo-conned fall for it every time.

- To all you "conservatives" who think Sarah Palin is qualified to be president, you deserve her. The country on the other hand can't afford her. We've seen what a presidency devoid of intellectual curosity and incompetance brings...ENOUGH! Is this the level you people have reached; does brain power and competancy no longer matter when it comes to the hightest elected office in the land? We've tried it your way and it FAILED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you not understand about this?! THINK!

- "Only dead fish go with the flow"
Sarah Palin
Someone should tell Sarah that living baby salmon fish go with the flow. That's how they get to the ocean. - Reply to this comment
- Let's face it. If McCain hadn't plucked her out of obscurity, we would never have heard of her, because she doesn't have the chops to make it on her own. She can't think on her feet (as evidenced by her interviews) and has little desire to learn outside what she just is required to know, i.e., lacking intellectual curiosity. The requirements for small town mayor and governor of 600,000 people are light and when she got to the big leagues, she fell flat on her face. And it wasn't because of the media - unless you consider the question "what magazines do you read" to be a big trap. And the only reason she got elected in the (heavily male-populated) state of Alaska is because she's hot. These are not qualities that scream "presidential candidate" and I doubt that the GOP will give her a chance, unless they become desperate. But with a number of their golden boys falling from grace recently, they may become just that.

- debinok1, the media did nothing but expose Palin for the unprepared, intellectually uncurious, hypocrite she is. She accepted the VP spot and that entails much scrutiny. I have absolutley no sympathy for her; she knew what she was getting into. If she thought she was prepared to be a heartbeat away from the presidency, she was wrong. The media did it's job and exposed her for what she is...period!

- Oh stop! Since you're new to our country, you should know that dirty personal politics is an ancient tradition, surely from prehistory. That will never excuse it, but vile and devisive rovian tactics are far and away the worst variation we're suffering under currently in the USA. And your post is a perfect example of it...

- Govenor Palen has shown that any prudent person in these United States would be absolutely stupid to pursue a political office and suffer personal attacks against themselves and their families by the leftist liberals fascists and other persons that do not believe in traditional American values and wish reduce this great country to a Comunist dictatorship. I got off the boat, legally in 1956 and served this gteat country in the military service. God Bless America and all decent Americans.

- I tried to watch the resignation from the start on youtube. It was a Fox 'News' feed, and it appeared to have a technical failure right at the minute she announced she was quitting.
All the crying at fox musta shorted out the feed... - Reply to this comment
- Sarah is the highest ranking whiner I know. Her comment, "it may be tempting and more comfortable to just keep your head down, plod along, and appease those who demand: "Sit down and shut up", but that's the worthless, easy path; that's a quitter's way out." is most bizarre. Quitters don't "keep their head down and plod along" - quitters quit which is what she did. I do agree she's doing what's best for Alaska - get out of the way and use her immature ditzy cheerleading talent where she can do less damage - Alaska will face difficult decisions that are best dealt with by someone who has a functioning brain.

- Palin?s move puts yet more pressure on Obama to finally get some results, the soaring rhetoric isn?t hypnotizing the plebes like it used to.
This week Helen Thomas, Colin Powell, and Warren Buffet all turned on him. Polls are looking droopy for The One lately. Obama?s porkulus program is a train wreck, all it?s done is bump interest rates and tank the dollar. We are being laughed at by bad guys like Tehran, Pyongyang, and Al Qaida who amazingly turned-down Barack?s friend-requests.
Palin could trounce him in 2012, when Americans would vote for the Gipper-in-heels in droves- begging for lower taxes, free enterpise, and a defense posture with some backbone.
Go get em, Sarah- and don?t mind the press, nobody will be listening to them anymore after the pending Obamamania implosion- doors are opening for you now.

- Palin proved the Principal and Petered out. Sarah got elected because she ran against one of the sleaziest bags of all time (Murkowski). She can dish out ranted garbage like an immature 13-year old, but can't take it when fact-based criticism comes back - she basically WROTE the skits for SNL. Sad thing is she can't see she makes her own problems then blames it on others. The only people she appeals to are Rovian Right Wingnuts - they love her spiels, but normal voters don't buy it (and are tired of mudslinging). I predict GOPs won't want her support any more than McCain wanted it from Bush - the GOP is in a tight spot as they try to maintain votes from "The Base" (now about 20-25% of voters) while trying to get votes from normal people - any deviation from extreme right rhetoric will likely make The Base stay home on voting day.

- George Lucas said it best in Star Wars II; The Attack of the Clones when he had Obi Wan Kenobi tell Anikan Skywalker about Packwin, the senator from Navoo, saying, "She's a POLITICIAN, and you NEVER TRUST POLITICIANS!"!!!
These days, that goes for ANY POLITICIAN, DEMOCRAT, REPUBLICAN, OR WHATEVER!!!!!
HAIL OBAMA??????? - Reply to this comment
