Exclusive: Spat Over Todd Palin's Membership In Secessionist Party Was Major Distraction On Critical Day In '08 Campaign
- I have to admit Sarah Palin made good window-dressing for the Republican Party however, like other department store dummies, she had nothing of substance inside.

dencal:
here is the thing, CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, and every single news agency in the country tried to dig up dirt on Obama, they threw the kitchen sink at the guy....called him a terorist! Don't you remember? It was the normal republican strategy, the politics of personal destruction. But none of it stuck. You want to know why? because Obama is NOT a terrorist. Because Obama is basically a decent human being, a classy guy, and has more intelligence in his pinkie than the entire state of Alaska has put together!
BS, That is such BS and if you want to believe it go right ahead. He was friends with Ayers, he was friends with everyone but you people refuse to see it.
You see, Republicans never win elections on the issues. When they win elections it is because they have destroyed the character of their opponent. They could not do that with Obama because he has such an incredible character.
Another lie, from start to finish. Guess what, OBAMA DID THE SAME THING MORON. THE SAME EXACT THING AS YOU CLAIM THE REPUBLICANS DID. GOOGLE OBAMA AND AYERS, OBAMA AND ACORN, OBAMA AND WRIGHT, OBAMA AND REZCO. STOP TELLING LIES THAT CAN BE PROVEN WRONG IT REALLY IS SAD.
I know it is difficult for you repukes to admit it....but you lost the presidency, you lost the congress, and you deserved to lose because of the frickin mess you made. Ge over it.
What about the democrats who helped make this mess? The democrats had 2 years, TWO YEARS to fix this and they did nothing. Not one dam bill
We have a real leader now. Someone with intelligence and with a vision to lead this country in the right direction, someone who truly cares about this country, not just the special interest groups that pay off most politicians.
That's why he is spending more in his first 6 months than bush did in his entire first term. Grow up, geeze - Reply to this comment

PULEEEASE...
"Common folks"? Do you mean the 18% or so who are still willing to identify themselves as republicans?
Believe me, no one is frightened of Sarah Palin's potential... she has none.
After six years of continuing education she was able to finally get a four year degree in journalism. She was elected governor of a state that has a population equal to Oklahoma City, except OKC has a much higher education level. Most of those who voted for her subsist on state welfare and spend their time chasing polar bears and chewing whale blubber.
You are correct, the fact that she cannot string a sentence together is reminiscent of Dubya, but you need to wake up to the fact that, after the devastation brought on by the Bush/Cheney crime cartel, 'popular republican' is an oxymoron.
Sorry, jerd, you lose.
I love this, your so full of crap.
GO READ HOW MANY VOTES THE MCCAIN PALIN TEAM GOT IN NOVEMBER!!! YOU MATH IS HORRIBLE. TELL ME DID YOU GET THE SAME EDUCATION AS THAT YOU KNOCK? - Reply to this comment
- iam4honesty;
Still having a math problem. Do us ALL a favor and stop showing percentages, clearly you are not smart enough to make a prediction. Currently you are not even NEAR the ball park. What do we need to do to show you the correct percentage? Surely you do not believe that the other 82% are democrats? If you do you are in some serious denial - Reply to this comment

Nothing since the Far left Liberals lie too. But that is OK right? I mean the democrats can lie their little hearts out but heaven forbid a republican does it
Are you people on some planet far far away? What in this world does what you posted have to do with the obvious LIES of this Woman and the way she dealt with this situation. I CERTAINLY hope you aren't saying we should just overlook these actions because of your post... that's just about what a 4th grader would say but NOT what an adult would.
Wait a second, You really don't want to go their junior. I would really tread lightly when you start to talk about liars, you may get burned. - Reply to this comment

- SARAH'S STILL SHAKING THINGS UP...
Remember Sarah stated that when she became VP, she was "going to go down to Washington and shake up congress!" Well we all knew that statement didn't make any sense, because the VP's job is not about running or dictating to the members of the US Congress.
But Sarah P. seems to keep up controversy no matter where she goes. Her what seems like (daily fights) are usually silly to say the least, and leaving all of us to question her reasons as to why she persists in her daily fights, by picking up on nonsense issues, and making a big ta...dooo about them.
My assumption is, she simply has nothing substantial to offer anyone, so she continues to keep the news cameras on her for nothing but empty nonsense issues. Now can you imagine she and J. McCain in ofc, running things for America right now, and she insisting that her job as VP is to "Shake things Up." and she could do a better job at running things, better then J. McCain etc etc.
I don't know about anyone else, but I am SO GLAD, WE: (AMERICA) DIDN'T BUY THAT PICTURE FOLKS ! - Reply to this comment

- It is a reflection of how far the Republican party has fallen that Sara Palin is regarded as anything more that an entertaining politician from Alaska. This woman is as far from being qualified for anything other than that as you can get. By the way, speaking of Palin, any Republicans supporting a flag desecration admendment need to check out the latest publicity photo of Paliln. An American flag is wadded up, draped over a chair, and she is leanin on it. Really a grand example of her lack of judgment and intellegence.

- i just want to point out that its not Alaska that wants to secede, its that small party that does. don't hold all this behavior of Palin, the AIP, and others against the general public up here. Yes I am alaskan but i'm first and foremost an american and always will be!

- Yep, as a Democrat, I must admit that I am terrified of Sarah Palin.... terrified that she might NOT run. Run Sarah, run!!! You are God's gift to the Democratic Party. You are kinda like someone threw Dan Quayle, GW Bush and Rush Limbaugh into a blender and hit the "high" button. So please, Sarah, don't let all of those dismissive naysayers discourage you from seeking that Great Political Post that God has promised you in your dreams. You GO GIRL! And you TRULY deserve what you are going to reap.

- You would not know anything about Mary Jo Kopechne if it wasn't for that media you despise. If it hadn't been for that, Ted Kennedy would have run for President and likely won. When Robert Kennedy was assasinated, that ended the Kennedy legacy in the US, at least as far as the Presidency was concerned, since everyone knew that the Chapaquiddick affair would prevent Ted Kennedy from making a Presidential run.
Yes, what Ted did with that situation was bad, and he should have been prosecuted for negligent homicide. If he had simply called the cops as soon as he walked away from the car, she would probably still be alive today, since there is proof she survived the wreck and was trapped in an air pocket for some time after the impact.
But, the fact was that he wasn't prosecuted, that's the fault of the government at that time. And it's the fault of the MA voters that they keep reelecting him, despite knowing about the incident.
The Palin story was about a NATIONAL candidate that the entire country voted on, it's an apples-to-oranges comparison.
I frankly found it quite interesting. It is also a very relevant story since it's obvious to everyone that Palin will run in 2012, and it's also obvious that she has a chance of winning the GOP primary. A small chance, but a chance nevertheless. This story illustrates how she would likely run her own Presidential campaign. And it also illustrates a big mistake the GOP repeatedly made - the failure to do proper background checks. It was only a few days after Joe the Plumber was paraded around by the GOP that the news broke that he wasn't paying his taxes, which completely deflated the Joe the Plumber campaign and actually worked to help Obama since it just made it seem like Joe was just another Republican cheater - someone who likes to tell people how the laws should be but doesn't follow them himself.
I'm very glad how the Palin story played out because it's obvious now that she is a wacko and would wreck the country if she got elected. - Reply to this comment
