This article looks like an attempt to bring up all old rumors which have proved to be wrong. I understand why Dems. are trying to eliminate Sarah as a promising candidate, but have trouble finding the motive for Mc Cain and his thugs. Posters, please keep in mind that CBS is MSM and are in Obama's hip pocket.

You do know that the only people in the world who think the "MSM" is in Obama's pocket is the 17% who still call themselves republicans. I don't remember any such talk when every other story was something about Bill and Monica.

At this point I doubt he even remembers. At this point this is what - a 45 year-old story? The only people who are still up in arms are the right-wing conspiracy theorists with too much time on their hands. If the incident happened today, things would have been very different, the family name doesn't count as much today as it did in the '60's (unless it's Bush). The one bad outcome of Watergate is that it essentially gave the press carte blanche to do stories on any part of a politician's life. You really think Clinton could have had an affair with an actress of Marilyn's stature like JFK did and the press not breathe a word about it? Different rules for different times for better or worse.

To CBS News: Don't you have something else to write about than Sarah Palin? I wonder why you and the other liberal media continue to pursue her. Unemployment is on the rise, job losses continue to mount, and Barry O's so-called stimulus plan is failing miserably yet you dredge no-news stories out about Palin. Stick to reporting the news and not creating it.

Job losses will continue to rise until America begins to control its international commerce as other countries do. But nobody has screamed louder against any action in this direction the past six months than Republicans have. So, you are right in a way. All of MSM should focus on just why Republican congresspeople insist on protecting foreign corporations like Toyota, but have no interest in supporting American industry and workers the same way Japan supports Toyota. Whatever happened to America first?
Since she still seems eager to focus on herself first, it will be easy enough to shred Palin if she sticks her nose out of Alaska again. My first question to her would be just what has she done this summer to prepare the small towns in AK for the upcoming winter? Even with the socialist actions she took commandeering big oil profits for AK last year, those towns struggled last winter. This winter, with less profits to take from big oil, those towns will be in even more dire straits. Is her modeling job for Runners World more important than the governorship?

dowell100....Did you forget Dick Cheney shot a man in the face and had thousands of Americans killed in a unnecessary war and that wasn't 40 years ago.

Yes, actually. 1. Out of Iraq. 2. Repair the economy. 3. Restore American stature. 4. Get Osama. 5. Affordable Health Care. 6. Restoration of personal liberty (you can keep your guns, but quit tapping my phone).

Nothing like a Palin story to get people foaming at the mouth.

Some of them look like they were written by the Tasmanian Devil.

'The comment set her off. She worried that the campaign was not sufficiently mitigating the issue of "her alleged connection" to the party...'

Perfect example of why Palin should never be President. Her husband Todd is party member 1995 to 2002, and she tapes a message for them for 2008 convention.

Gee Sarah, that makes you affiliated - connected to them! However, your only concern is that the campaign is not lying hard enough to cover your backside, or you are too stupid to realize that makes you connected to them. Probably both.

Just shows that a conservative like Palin has trouble with a moderate/liberal nutjob like McCain.

TIME FOR TED TO TALK........ CBS ???

We the public need to know what really happened between Teddy Kennedy and Mary Jo. Please before it is too late, interview Ted, ask him to fully revisit and make the slate clean. We can not move on as a nation, without the full truth.

/////////////////Do the interview.

When Teddy thinks he's running for the VP/Presidency, maybe that conversation will be relevant.
Until then, get into the same century as everyone else, please.

Seriously?

This is what you want to fixate you on? This is what YOU think our country needs info on to "move on as a nation"? If you gave it some thought maybe you'd realize that getting a "confession" from a man with brain cancer isn't really what we need. May I suggest that instead, if we're looking for closure that is, answers to:

-The 7 mins on nine eleven
-The 80 million "lost" in Iraq
-Reports of W M D's
-The "real" reason we went to Iraq
-Why we didn't get Osama when we had him trapped in a cave and potentially ending the wars on terror
-Why did we deregulate everything allowing corp profits at the expense of the Americans public well-being
-No bid contracts
-Gitmo
-Making torture o.k.
-Disrespecting the constitution with warrantless wiretapping and the Patriot Act
-Iraqi oil paying for the war

And on and on and on this list can go... and that's just the last decade... to give you an idea of a "move on" list... "Who shot JFK?"

See what I'm getting at? Though what happened to Mary Jo and her family was and is tragic, that's 1 family. The above "closure" questions affect millions.

But isn't that what republicans are good at? Division, distortion and distraction?
