- I'd have no problem looking Palin in the eye with criticism. Her desire to pass off her husband's link to the AIP just shows how ill prepared she is for political life with the big boys.
As for McCain, the only thing I'd say to him is "What the hell were you thinking in choosing her, and who had the power to make you DO that??"
I like McCain, and I think Bush stole the election from HIM by rigging the primaries. - Reply to this comment
- The train wreck that is the Witch of Wasilla continue to amuse and amaze. My only criticism is that this article belongs in the entertainment section.

- Well, both Palin and McCain went eyeball to eyeball with the whole country, during the debates and the campaign. The public couldn't stand the the sight of them and kicked them out.
No, its LOSERS like you that the country is having problems. Problems created by your heroes Cheney/Rumsfeld/Bush etc. who tore down every TENET in the constitution all the way back to the Magna Carta. Betrayed every treaty with the world and brought America down to its economic knees. The real COWARD is you. LOSER. - Reply to this comment

- At least she can run a state and get them financially back where Obama is putting this country in debt more going back on campaign promises by taxing everyone, flip flopping still to this day, and making our country look like a weak nation. The other countried already know he has no balls and he stupid that is why they dare us each day. They know that we have a bunch of children in office that got voted in because the media and Hollywood corrupted eveyone's mind. When you have communist run media just like Iran does how do you think people will vote. Democrats will fall this year cause bullies don't always win and that is what they are a bunch of children on the playground being bullies to have world control. Obama's true color's are already coming out and thanks to you the democratic party we sold the USA.

- I can see why CBS news ratings are so low. They thrive on the past and can't go forward with the new office because they are so biased. They are so scared to attack the new office that they have to be sexist and attack a woman instead. Too bad NBC,CBS, and ABC are all under the control of the all mighty ruler of Obama. A ruler no ones wants to investigate seeing is taxing people to death and breaking campaing promises. Now let get the real story out not one dragged out of a hat.

- Virtually every single one of the Republicans''FAMILY VALUES' attack dogs, who SCREAMED for Clintons impeachment(for lying about his affair with Monica), have all been caught with their OWN pants down and LYING and COVERING UP their own affairs.
No wonder, Republicans are now the in the sewers of political history. Good riddance. - Reply to this comment
- She's so cute all steamed up...
Listen to the video of her ranting about the end times and how Alaska is the sanctuary of those refugees from the USA.
When she had one of her kids she flew to Alaska from Texas while she was in labor so the kid could be 'born on Alaskan soil.' Like it's a noble title or something.
The AIP is part of this collection of nut jobs. The AIP believes Alaska was illegal admitted to the USA because US Military stationed in Alaska were allowed to participate in the referendum vote. In other words, they believe the US Military should not have been allowed to vote because they were not real Alaskans.
The Vice Chairman of AIP claimed to the statewide AIP convention that Sarah Palin left AIP and went Republican when she wanted to get elected Mayor of Wasilla.
One reason she is viewed as a maverick Republican in Alaska is that she is not part of the good old boys establishment that are more interested in making money and being regular big business conservative Republicans instead of living in the AIP woodsey wierdo fantasy land - so she does not care of she alienates them.
This is a live issue in Alaska: 'In November 2006, the Supreme Court of Alaska held that secession was illegal, Kohlhaas vs. State, and refused to permit an Initiative to be presented to the people of Alaska for a vote.' Palin draws a lot on this sentiment in Alaska.
Nationally the AIP is affilaited with the Constitution Party.
The party's goal as stated in its own words is "to restore our government to its Constitutional limits and our law to its Biblical foundations."
The AIP is not the only such movement in the region.
'The Northwest Territorial Imperative was an idea popularized within white supremacist and white separatist groups in the United States in the 1980s, in which adherents to these groups were encouraged to relocate to a five-state region of the Northwestern United States, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. The intent was to eventually declare the region an "Aryan" homeland. ...The idea inspired a number of hate groups, Ku Klux Klan leaders, and Christian Identity churches to set up shop or relocate to the Northwest.'

- Really? How much did you object to the Patriot Act? How many Republicans said they didn't mind giving up some rights for saftey? What rights has Obama taken away?

- This continuing Palin saga has nothing to do with CBS other than they are reporting on it. Vanity Fair has just come out with an article about the drama between the McCain campaign and Palin. Hopefully, republicans will realize their next presidential candidate needs to be someone who is very intelligent and has common sense. We don't need anymore incompetent mental midgets from the republican side.

- I find the correlation between the Chapaquiddick/MA candidate and the Wassila/AK candidate, frankly, unnerving. Primarily, my discomfort is due to the implicit heresy behind both. The unforgivable tendency, so apparent in each, is that the people of MA continue to re-elect Kennedy and the people of AK continue to support Palin.
How can this nation hope to progress and improve with time, if we maintain this type of stock in the branches of our Government? - Reply to this comment
