This guy now seems to get a masochistic kind of kick out of these serial confessions of adultery.

The Infatuation "Program":
The infatuation program prevents or downplays negative evaluation, Attention is fixed on positive images, memories and expectations, and resists a shift to anything negative. It may jeopardize or destroy a marital relationship.

From: "Love is Never Enough" by Aaron T. Beck, M.D., one of the founders of cognitive therapy.

Probably not a thing. Mark is taking a rich, wealthy, life in both hands and throwing it away from him as hard as he can. Let's assume for a minute that behind the scenes his wife is a hag and hasn't been putting out for the last 5 years. Well, what is wrong with circle jerking a decade or so until kids are grown then divorcing wifey and then going and doing your own thing? Then, you keep the money, you keep the reputation, you go on to make tons of money doing something else, and you get all the broads you want.
Instead, he's going to end up with no money, no wife, kids that think he's a jack a s s, no reputation, and no place to make money. Do you think he will be that attractive to his South American lover then? When he has no money? Hah!!!

But in reality, I very much doubt his wife is like this. Most men who fool around behind their wife's back are getting plenty of the good stuff at home. After all, if they don't perform at home, wifey is much more likely to catch on to the fact they are fooling around somewhere else.

this is rich.

the comparison to a long-term relationship to a novel one is an unfair comparison.

good grief! first he says that he will not resign because he is going forward with god's plan, (which is blasphamy), and now he said he had a mistress but didn't have sex? give me a break. isn't that the point of having a mistress? i don't believe a word out of this guy's mouth. plus, i have never considered this dunce as a presidential contender. he should resign and go away.

"...Imagine what Hill's reaction would have been if Bill had asked her to meet with Monica?..."

Why do you think Monica went out of the country to finish up her schooling?

She keeps a very low profile these days, but if you have some time you can dig up some recent pics of her online - she's really hot, looks way better than she did back then.

Really - we need to keep this guy in office, because every day he makes all the repubs cringe. The Sunday newspaper had an editorial cartoon showing the "family values plank" smacking Sanford in the face, with Ensign, Craig, Vitter, Foley and Gingrich laying in the background. Priceless!

Please, post a URL - the editorial cartoonists in the daily here aren't that imaginative...

Here's a URL for a cartoonists website - hope it takes you right to the cartoon: http://www.cartoonistgroup.com/store/add.php?iid=35594

I love it! But what I don't understand about the website designers is, are they unaware that Shift-Printscreen takes a screen capture which can be put into Paint, and totally defeats that dumb copyno.com nonsense? I guess not.

Maybe YOU elect them as paragons of YOUR lifestyle, I DON'T. I don't think that personal sexual picadillos should have ANY bearing on an office holder. That is why I condemn the Republicans who insist on making laws regarding gay marriage and such since they are meddling in things they have no business being in. And if an opportunity comes along to hang these Republicans by their own rope, I'll take it. Maybe after we have enough Republican politicians swinging on the end of the ropes they made, they will stop meddling in morality and personal sexual relationships.
