YOu recall wrong. David was caught. A prophet stood up, and recited a parable to the king about a shepherd of a flock of thousands who stole and cooked the one sheep of a poorer shepherd and then had the shepherd killed. David judged the rich shepherd should be destroyed and his flocks dispersed for stealing so much from one, when he could have made do with the pick of one from his own many.

The prophet then revealed that David was the shepherd who had access to many sheep (women/harem) and that by what he did to Bathsheba and her husband he destroyed the man and placed judgment on himself. DAvid tried to become contrite--but God still punished David and Bathsheba anyway--but David, like most men, refused to divulge or admit his dastardly deed until the 'reporter' of the day exposed him publicly with evidence. Some things never change.

This shows what idiots even smart Fundamalists can be when their religon over shadows real life experiences. The fun part is when they try to rationalize their wrongs by quoting bible passages or stories that have NOTHING to do with their own predicament.

Oh yeah, this is waht happens when you let a hidden religious being guide you. Steer yourself once for a change and take the blame when you run into the rocks.

Jenny SAnford may divorce him but not pick his bones clean. She was the bankroller and king maker. It is she who has the millions (her family owns Skil power tools) she is the one who put him through school and financed his campaigns, if she does let him go and she might considering her remarks and the humiliation of him not even being around to see her sons on father's day and her laughing when reporters asked about his career (saying it was not her problem) I would bet she is the one who gave the emails to the newspaper....anyway--if she does divorce him, she will be seeking to keep and protect her assets--he does not have much to lose--since she was rich and he, like McCAin just hitched his wagon (if not the handle) to that star.

Being a typical man who thinks with his little itty bitty head is not exculsive to the Republicans.

What IS exclusive to the Republicans is judging people harshly for thinking with the itty bitty head, trying to publicly humiliate them or capitalize on it politically and most important, what is definitely exclusive to Republicans is the need to try to use the law to expose and punish and destroy political opponents who used the little head, unless it is one of their own guys and in their club--then there is the talk of forgiveness and redemption and 'mistakes' and taking ownership--but if Clinton's cigar in a hole was a lie worth tearing up the Presidency and dividing the country over--the many lies and hypocrisies of the people who pretty much are doing the same things is even worse.

One can argue that Clinton was impeached on a lie--but the fact is--he was initially prosecuted for an adultery--he later lied to hide the truth from his wife and everyone else--also typical behavior of men who think with their little heads.

The only reason Republicans aren't lying under oath is that they are not placed under oath, and no one is prosecuting them for their affairs, had they done so--no doubt they would have lied their heads off until like Clinton, the evidence became irrefutable.

Consider that SAnford told his wife allegedly 5 months ago and the newspaper had information about the affair since Dec. 2008--yet not a peep to the public or media until the reporter who knew about Maria confronted him at the airport.

So his "admitting" like Clinton, like Vitter, like Craig, like Foley, like Gingrich, like Guiliani, like Ensign, like Spitzer and every other male--only happened when the 'proof and evidence was there to already convict them--whether they admitted it or not. That is not being noble or honest or contrite--it is called being caught and it is disingenuous to suggest otherwise. Then again, only Republicans try to remain pious and pristine while standing neck deep in a pile of poo of their own making and blasting the Dems about a few turds.

I traveled to SC for a business meeting in Hilton Head. Someone there knew Sanford and said he was a dictator and wanted total control over all State agencies and heads of the agencies so I guess his comparing himself to a Biblical king is appropriate, in his own mind at least.
I am glad he is not my governor, I might have to move to another state if he was.

What an idiot. The most disgusting thing about so called "Christians is that they usually know little to nothing about the bible. Sanford better hope his life goes nothing like David's did after he stole Bathsheba. Because though King David stole the wife and had her hubby killed--guess what happened later? God CURSED David even more: David's son Ammon lusted after his own sister and eventually raped her, then after he was done, that same son threw her away--disgusted with himself and her. She went crying to their older brother.

The older brother then hunted down Ammon and killed him for the incest/rape of their sister. Then the slaves and loyal servants of Ammon avenged Ammon by killing the older brother. I believe the girl kills herself in despair from being soiled. thus the "fruit" of David and Bathsheba neither prospered nor had happy endings--but it would serve the faux Christians well not to surface worship and try to impose that on the rest of the country--they would do well to know that which they speak or compare themselves to, lest at best they become laughing stocks and at worst--God does similar things to them as he did to who they compare themselves to. Jenny Sanford and the boys certainly don't need rapes and murder added to the adultery of Sanford the idiot.

For myself I could care less about Clinton or Sanford their affair was no ones business.

But the difference ends with no caring about the affair.

First off when the GOP spent 70 million dollars for an affair it I take issue and second off this baffon was so busy helping to try to embarrass a President that this is just being returned to him not any thing less or any thing more than he deserves there is no way to put it simpler this guy is a HYPOCRITE PERIOD.

The next and final thing is this look at Bill Clintons approval rating that is the ultimate defense TRUTH. The American people also told the wing nuts to stop but hey your choice you didn't now take what you shoved out to the rest of us and enjoy it.

Perhaps Gov. Sanford should refrain from comparing himself to biblical figures, especially one from the Old Testament. Even the supposedly good characters were often ****-poor human beings. His hypocrisy is of epic proportions. I can only ask myself what was this guy thinking? Did he really believe that an international affair would go unnoticed? Doesn't say much for this guy's intelligence or judgement.

"Yeah I give you that the Liberals a immoral slimes but that still doesn't make it any better for guys like cigar bill and Spitzer to be in your party and then for you to attack Sanford."

Please learn english if you are going to wrap yourself in some moral flag. And, are you trying to put words in our mouths by saying that we ignore what Clinton and Co do? No, if Clinton's wife cant trust him, how am I supposed to?

So, you got clinton, spitzer, edwards..... you almost beat that count in two weeks! Keep tryin.
