repulsive, repugnant, nauseating, foul stench... all the things that come to mind when gay boy sex is mentioned.
==============================

So... you're all for lesbian sex? You would deny the rights of gay men, but condone the rights of gay women?

Oh man.. are you a real number....

Gays already have equal rights. They have the right to marry members of the opposite sex, just like us, despite the lies the liberal America-haters try to sell us.

Don't associate yourself with this destructive liberal agenda. Its an anti-American lie, and its tearing the country apart, while the liberals point the finger at the Americans who are holding tight to our traditional values which the liberals hate so much.

Gotta love those words, tolerance and intolerance. To you, tolerance means what? Nodding one's head in favor and providing positive lip-service to liberal agendas, such as gay "rights", or shutting the hell up. Intolerance is speaking out against it. Yes, I will be teaching my intolerance of public acceptance and condonement of perversions of law, perversions of justice, and perverted human behavior. Which by the way, is not hating homosexuals as individuals. But yes, with my power to vote I would deny individuals the "right" to pervert the definition of marriage (I am also against easy divorce and adultery) - people with gay perversions have the same rights as sexually healthy people. They can marry people of the opposite sex, just like we can.

You're perfectly right.. that is intollerance. What we homosexual people are asking for IS tollerance. You certainly don't have to "Accept" who we are. Just like I can be tollerant of your stance, it certainly doesn't mean I have to accept it.

There is a difference there.. between acceptance and tollerance. The fact you seem to not be able to hold the capacity for tollerance shows very negatively on the state of our nation today.

You know.. I'll take tollerance over acceptance any day.

And have us deny who we are as individuals... which in my book is repression.

To quote Whoopi Goldberg from "The Color Purple" for the sentiment it conveys... "I'm poor, black, I might even be ugly, but dear God, I'm here. I'm here."

I support Obama in his effort but his signature doesn't really help my situation. I am still deprived of health care from my partner's federal benefits and if something happens to him, my family and I are screwed since pension benefits are still denied.

you can't rattle a sociopathic liar.

The fact that you get rattled on a regular basis would refute your statement.

the only thing giving any rights to this "Wrong" thinking group does, is ever increase the moral decay of this Great Nation and the Christian Foundations on which it was Built. Obama knows this, he is only making a small token, hoping that he can somehow hold on to their campaign support. Other than that he looks on this group with the same disgust and disdain as the rest of the Majority of the Country.

This country WAS NOT built on the hate and intolerance of religion, especially christianity - the most hateful and intolerant religion of all.

Do not confuse your religion with our great country, as the two have NOTHING to do with each other.

I sit and listen to the people of this nation as this New Young Leader grapples with ALL the problems he was left with and ALL the problems he faces as normal life continues and I wonder why any INTELLIGENT person would want this job. What makes me admire him so much is his cool. He is calm and thoughtful through all the Ire, hate, ill will and disgusting attitudes as he tries to steer us to a better way of life. We have a good one here folks and there can be no doubt of that.

No, he's trying to be fair and just. Most of us aren't so negative and hateful as you are thus the support for our new President. I guess you few still hold on to those wedge issues and hope huh?

It's called debate and it's as old as the nation itself. It's how we have grappled with and managed to overcome some very bad situations in our past. Small steps, look at the situation with the change then another small step.

Not to mention that he didn't do a thing until the the LGBT pulled all their funding from his happy campaign, the DNC, and withdrew their support.

But what's really hilarious is these people think they're going to get something out of the benefit of having a marriage license.

There is absolutely no benefit whatsoever in a marriage license unless you are establishing equal parental rights over children you conceived TOGETHER, which same sex couples cannot do.

And for every issue they claim they are discriminated against, there is a very viable alternative legal way to achieve it, other than a marriage license. And it doesn't help their income tax whatsoever because when it is combined, it throws them into a higher bracket.

As for insurance, an employer does NOT contribute a dime to your spouses insurance premiums, they simply allow you to enjoin your spouse with the group, for the group rate...when in fact, if you shopped around you could pro'bably find a better single rate policy with the same benefits...just not with the fancy title of Blue Cross/Blue Shield or UniCare or Travelers on it. I get mine from a little known local insurance group.

The LGBT has been duped by the liberals into staying all stirred up over discrimination issues that are HOGWARSH in the area of benefits, and it's not going solve a thing about their PERCEIVED discrimination against what they do in their bedroom.

WINSTRV: Save your breath. There is a solution for your "problems": heterosexual marriage. Gets you all the things you are asking about and...more - it's sacred. Try it. It's "defended" and "protected" too. LOL.

Why do straights flee marriage?

What you call the "larger public discussion" (the "culture wars") ended. No one won. No one lost. Don't look to this President to resurrect that fiasco.

He's been saying "civil unions" for months and months. The opposition hasn't picked up on that option or even bothered to discuss it.

Why should states' rights be curtailed ("crack down on states?").

By all means continue pretending to have the belief "one man and one woman." Beliefs are not arguments or even opinions in the political arena. A degree of rationality has returned to politics.

Tell us about Senator Ensign, part of that "one man and one woman" fantasy.

Maybe it says equal rights for gays is going to be pretty routinely handle, efficiently, within the law, and congress and the courts. Maybe you should lower your expectations, realize this civil rights movement in mature enough and the President is too, to start conducting change as a regular part of government, every day.

Howls and fanfare can be left for ... Senators like Ensign.
