The feds need to get OUT of the health care business and leave it to the individual states to come up with a solution. Let the people themselves work this out....using health care as an excuse to pull up more money into a corrupt government is INSANE!

Your claim is that we're broke, so let's keep spending money unnecessarily on uninsured health care costs, that send people to the ER instead of their own private doctor, which cost's TRIPLE the amount of money.

And most of the states are running massive deficits, so where do you expect them to come up with the money?

Now Obama wants to tax my health care to pay for freeloaders, and how does this make the cost go down? There is no check and balances on who is a freeloader and who really needs health care. He should worry about why we are paying for 18 million illegal aliens health care and they continue demand rights they have not earned. Go to an emergency room at night it's like going to a foreign country, how is he going to reform this. Our priesident hasn't a clue about the real world and what people need.

These uninsured get free healthcare. What is medicare, kidcare and medicaid. Not to mention a teaching hospital cannot turn away a patient. Another Obam-ination! Wasn't this what he blasted McCain about? Hypocrite and liar, all in one. And a socialist (if not worse!), not matter his denials. He is swiftly and systematically ruining this country.

Our health-care system does need attention -- ie - a medical transport of 1/4 mile = $2,000 ("What do you care? You're not paying for it; Medicare is!"); doctors contracted to provide medical services in assisted living/nursing homes raking in big bucks by just walking up and down the halls, asking, "So, how are you today, Stella?" and other abuses -- Insurance companies that make bad decisions; hospitals that are poorly managed -- We can fix it without government draining us for yet more $$.

But all the Dems know is TAX, TAX, TAX. Oh yes -- while the poor people suffer and wait for relief, the power broker Dems fly around on our dime (Obama, Pelosi, Biden, etc.) I, for one, want to know how much The Date cost, and while we're at it, the cost of that White House swing set. While truly needy people can't feed their children, the Obamas are setting quite an example!

Yeah, Right, Go ahead Obama and tax the health care benefits received from the employers, and that will also affect ALL benefits including those of retired folks living on fixed incomes. If you do this, you will prove to all of us that YOU are no different than all those who have campaigned before you..........that you will say anything to get elected and then go back on your word. And, yes, do cut the Medicare benefits of the old people for they are just dead weight now that they are not working and producing anymore. This just might cause a big backlash from the millions of babyboomers.........duh.

Sure I know the health care program is important and will cost somebody but you must make it cost everybody.........especially those who will get filthy rich off of it. Nobody talks about limiting the amount of profits of DOCTORS, HOSPITALS, INSURANCE COMPANIES and most of all, DRUG COMPANIES. Socialized medicine would mean that we care about the health of all the people equally, and that is just pure baloney. It is the profit line that drives this engine.

The Congress need to reregulate some industries like the airlines were.This would solve most of the economic crisis we faced.The deregulaters argued that this would lead to stronger companies,higher wages ,lower prices anl lower taxes.They would self regulate because of competition.Let supply and demand set prices or wages.History has proven this to be a failed model and we need to return to the original.Under the old system , America was the envy of the world because the masses prospered incontrast to what was generally considered to be third world contries.Instead of us exporting our economic system,under the guise of globilization we adapt there and now we are all in the same boat.It is time to stop trying to say a fail system and return to what we know worked.I don't see how this economic model that we created can work. In America it has caused unneccessary hardships and in struggling democracies,a return to socialism.The facts do not lie,without regulation greed will destroy the AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE

Don't believe all of the great things you hear about "socialized helth care" From first hand knowledge, that is being married to a German national, socialized health care does'nt work like most think. Example: My wife has health insurance through AOK. The German government does not pay for her entire health insurance premium. She pays approximately 320 dollars a month and the government pays the other 280 dollars. So it is'nt free. Those that do not have health insurance do not get free health care, they have to pay a large portion of it and then the government pays the remaining small amount. Either way your paying, so I would'nt hype it so much. I have used German doctors and hospitals which were paid for by my US Government Insurance Tricare. Much of the mediacal and dental equipment is outdated. The equipment that my dentist uses is dated back to the 80's. The hospital that I was in was pretty decent, but the care, facilities and the Doctors expeirience levels were lacking. Because I was an american I had good insurance that alloted for 140 dollars a day for room charges I managed to swing a semi private room. The germans were stcuk in rooms with between 4&5 other patients. If the kool aid drinkers get their way and Berry Soetoro gets socialized helth care to pass you will pay for it in more ways than one. 1. You will still be required to pay a health insurance premium, 2. Be sure and look forward to that Value Added tax that the genius wants to enact, the Germans have had a Value Added Tax for ages, how do you think they pay for "socialized health care"?

During the campaign Obama spoke of affordable health care, now he speaks of affordable health insurance and taxing benefits from employers.

This man, like Bush and Clinton and Bush and all the way back to Nixon (including all of the Senate and House committee chairmen) are lining their pockets with money from the insurance companies, from the HMO's, from giant conglomerate hospital holding companies, and just about anyone connected with health care to rob us blind for health care.
