The liberals are great about the people sacrificing to get through the troubled times we are in, as long as it isn't liberals doing the sacrificing.

The White House declined to say how much the trip was costing taxpayers, and even before the smaller jet left Washington, the there-and-back trip drew criticism from the Republican National Committee. The RNC issued a news release that chastised Obama for saying he understands American's troubles, but then hopping up to New York for "a night on the town."

How many times did bush go to the ranch just cause he wanted to and to Maine just to fish come on people give the couple a break

BornFreeorDie........I am sick and tired of you neo-con morons saying that democrats want nothing but a hand out. And that it is our fault that the economy is in the toilet. That WE were the only ones who took out sub prime loans. First of all, I have worked and saved all my life and have never asked anyone for a hand out. I put myself through school after I served my country for four years in the military. And although I could have made more money I chose to teach for 26 years instead. Second, you imply that there were no republicans who made bad loans or ran their credit cards through the roof. Who are you trying to kid? That sword cuts both ways. And finally, it is morons like you who actually claim that republican women NEVER get abortions. What a stupid statement. I suggest that you remember this. It is better to remain silent and appear stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I am an ex-repub, and very proud of my choice after reading some of the utter stupidity on this comment section. I would never go back, no matter what. With fatso loudmouth and his "talk show(?)". Oh please this man needs a frontal lobobotomany! Thank you all the voices of reason. Does Obama and his wife need a night out, you bet. What a stinking job this man is left to clean up!!!!

In the name of all that's Holy, what is wrong with some of you people on here? You make a federal case out of a couple going out for a night. Is this the best you have? Can't you come up with something else? You act like a bunch of middle school kids. I don't know exact numbers but I do remember that Mr. Bush spent a lot of time at Camp David and at his "ranch" in Crawford, Tx. You didn't complaign about that did you? And for you NASCAR loving southern republicans, it costs more to run one of those races than it would to fly Obama to New York countless times but you don't whine about your precious races, do you? You are so freakin desparate that you will grab anything that you think you can make a big deal out of. Do you have somebody counting the rolls of TP that the Obamas use? Don't you realize that you look like total fools when you do this stuff? If you want to complaign try to find something that means something. Keep this stupid stuff up and you will see your numbers continue to drop like a rock. We need the Republican party but we need the old republican party that had some class. I didn't agree with them very often but I did respect them. Let's get them back again.

= = = = =

winstrv, you are kidding me, right? The previous President Bush vacationed in Crawford, Texas 3-to-4 months per year, just to do ranch upkeep and cut down shrubbery. And this does not include another month per year of taxpayer supported excursions for GOP campaign fund raising and support.

GOP supporters must learn to be smarter and not throw stones FROM WITHIN A GLASS OUT. (Think on that).

I have no problem with Obama going on vacation. He like other presidents deserve it and the taxpayers should pay for it. I also have no problem with him going out to campaign for the Democratic party. Again, I agree every president does it. I suggest you go back and read my comments again. My objection is that taxpayer money is being used to pay for the transportation and security so he can buy a burger or take his wife out on a date. Every day he or his people are out there telling us we have to suck it up because of the mess the economy is in yet he can spend our money on a date. He has the "let them eat cake" mentality. At least he could have stayed in DC and made it cheaper for the taxpayers but read previous sentence.

Arguably wherever the president goes in the u.s. he is working. That includes Broadway. Especially given the importance of NYC to the domestic economy & national welfare.

This is the classic example of do as I say, not as I do. Oh well. Who really cares??? It is just our money and we will see a lot mroe spent in other ways and no one will do or say anything about it. Heck, we have just blown 30 billion on GM which was too big to fail, now they are failing and we will blow another 30 billion of more on then to produce cars that no one wants or will be able to buy. Heck gas has gone up 42 cents in less than 30 days. So who can afford to drive.

So, we're all supposed to sacrifice according to the messiah. All the OUTRAGE for Bush going to Crawford. I bet this little trip cost more and aren't we ALL supposed to sacrifice. Oh yea, the head of the central government isn't held up to that standard.
Bet the proud michele took her 24/7 hairdresser and make-up artist along for the trip.
Love the double standard of the left, just beautiful.
curbglobalwarmingnow-any takes on the carbon footprint from this little outing?? BTW-thought you libs changed it to climate change as I hear we are now heading into a cooling period. Geesh, we used to call it seasons back in the stoneage.
