- All credit needs to be examined, not just credit cards. Citibank Mortgage is a good example, Insurance company charge 3-4 dollars for processing fee on line ...HUH ????\

Now the credit card companies will just jack up their rates on the other cardholders who DO pay their bills on time, like me.
All to save charges on the losers who don't pay on time and who let their account balance exceed their credit limit.
That's reverse accountabillity.
The liberals' long standing policy. - Reply to this comment
- In 9 months .The company lawyers will scan over it until they find loopholes . Do you know that we who have good credit have to pick up the tab of the slackers who don't pay and the slum and project dwellers who abuse it ?

- Reward failure by giving money to those who can't handle it, after taking it away from those who can.

I see your point, but the thing is that the credit companies have some really atrocious policies on someof their cards that are unfair, and once your locked in than they change all the terms of your contract. Thats not fair, is it? - Reply to this comment
- I wouldn't use the phrase Real Americans and Obama in the same post since we still can't seem to find a birth certificate for the man

- Thank you biggcheese1 . you said it all and did so with compassion and intelligence. Obama did absolutely nothing to help consumers. They always notified you in advance before raising your interest rates and they have 9months to do as they choose. Watch out all you sanctimonious and judgemental that feel they are above becoming victims of these loan sharks. two years ago I sat up untill 3 in the morning listening to credit card companies testifying before congress on there practices. Dodd and the rest were SHOCKED at what was going on. There were lawyers there on behalf of seniors that couldnt pay the cards off because of the interest rates. They did nothing altho they were just so upset. HA ! What a joke. They said they did not like the fact people paid their balances off every month. That they made their money on late charges and finance charges. And to label people that don't have the extra cash for necessities{not luxuries} irresponsible or worse is horrible. this morning I heard a statement from a women that says it all."I never thought about poor people untill I become one" What goes around comes around " God has a way of laying things on your doorstep that you criticize. I can deal with hard times,Im used to them, how about all of you?

- Yippie,
Bloomberg just announced today that debt-serf-cards are going to start charging you interest at the moment of purchase.
Bloomberg also announced that your debt-serf-card will give you the option of closing your account and rolling it over on a new one with all of the cute little loan-shark rates and fees.
Nothings changed folks...and it's not until we STOP ALL BAILOUTS OF THESE PARASITES - Reply to this comment

HA HA HA!
Do your own research.
I really liked his meltdown interview when he started ranting and raving at who, was it Leslie Stahl, when she accused him of being too cozy with Fannie and Freddie?
Oooh, that meltdown said it all. - Reply to this comment

- Phil Gramm is though, isn't he?

Phil Gramm should spend twenty years locked in the same solitary confinement cell with Barney Frank.
That's what they both deserve.
Unlike SOME posters, when I say both sides are to blame, I mean it. - Reply to this comment

- But he was enabled to do his deeds by a weak regulatory system, which was the goal of the GOP for years. If you want to talk about Madoff, you better damned sure understand how what he did was possible.

The "weak regulatory system" that ignored Madoff, Enron, Worldcomm, Andersen Accounting and all the other rampant financial fraud OF THE CLINTON YEARS?????
You mean, that weak regulatory system??
Clinton is not the GOP... - Reply to this comment
