How many lives were lost in Iraq, a war essentially fought for oil?

Maybe you should apologize for Bill Clinton's failure to do anything to stop 9-11, since THAT'S WHEN IT WAS BEING PLANNED.

Getting the picture, Chitoad?

The Bush Administration had the information that the terrorists were planning to fly planes into buildings and they ignored the threat and allowed the worst terrorist attack on American soil in history....and some how you believe that Bush should be praised for his work on national security????

Perhaps you should get your head checked.....

The Bush Administration already released 500 'Enemy Combatants' into our world and Americans are afraid of Jailing 240 in America? According to another article only about 12 detainees, at the most, are extremely dangerous.

Bush never told American he released 500.

Where are the Oklahoma City bombers Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, Charles Mansion Family and the Unabomber Theodore John Kaczynski jailed just to name a few?

Are Americans Chickens or what? Where is the fear for the 500 detainees already released by Bush?

I love and respect Obama for addressing the hardest problems facing our Nation Head-On without Lying to Americans!

I would like to thank those of you who posted comments that were meant to smear the President and to insult the Democrats. Seeing your posts just makes me that much more determined to continue to speak out against you. Wouldn't it be wonderful to live in a country where all your rights were taken away and you were spied on 24/7? And if there were people who disagreed they would be taken out and shot. We're all on here because we have the wonderful gift of freedom to express ourselves as we chose. It is indeed sad that some of you are so desperate to see the President fail than for the country to move forward. I don't always agree with the President but I support him because I want the country to heal. But I don't believe there is much of a chance to really move forward because we are so divided. I have seen X vice predents become advocates for various social issues in the past but this is the first time that I know of where the X-vice president is actively trying to subvert the efforts of the current administration. While I support Cheney's right as an American citizen to speak out I find it somewhat distasteful that he seems to be doing all he can to subvert any efforts of the current administration to address any of the problems we face. I fully expect that some of you will attack me in the best republican tradition and I will say in advance that insults don't work on me so don't waste your time.

he wrote the emancipation proclomation to keep the Europeans, specifically the French, out of the war who saw the north as an agressor and were considering helping the south so the emancipation proclomation was written to make it seem that anyone supporting the south supported slavery. They didn't teach you that in 6th grade did they skyke?

first of all, the french or any of the europeans would not get involved into the war. The british was enforcing the Monroe doctrine(yeah I now that it was an American doctrine, but the British didn't want any other European powers involved) And second, Rowdy said it not, skyke

Since you are a conservative, I would assume you would be strict constructionist. You know, if the Constitution does say it , we can't do it. There is no method of secession in the constitution. Try reading the document before mouthing off.

I am not a conservative but I know you will refuse to believe that. I have read the constitution and it is not meant to restrict states rights it is meant to restrict federal power. States are governed by their individual constitutions.
