- And, exactly how is that 'classic', bub? I mean, since you're such an expert in spelling---but for some strange reason, you can't spell 'won't'----I would think such spelling errors are beyond you. Yes, breakwind, I made a mistake. Does that make you feel better good about yourself? (I would pat you on the head, but I'm not sure if you've taken care of your lice problem) I mean, you seem to love pointing out my errors but turn a blind eye to your own and those of other posters on this site. Not only are you an idiot Republican, but you're biased---as if that wasn't obvious. You need to talk to your 'special friend' Joe to see if you two can't find something else to do with your time. You two really need to see one another again. Only this time, I'll bet Joe won't let you wax him again...

- Apparently you are incapable of recognizing irony.

I am very familiar with irony, metaphors, syntax, theme, formal patterning, symbolism and various other literary terms and techniques. However, when stating facts it is best to come directly to the point. Good day to you. - Reply to this comment

I am a white female who has never been on food stamps. I worked full time as an admin assistant while raising my kids, so that we could also pay child support for my ex's kids. I paid my way and paid my dues, and lost my job to outsourcing. I have a daughter in the military. I'm fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I have voted for candidates of both parties. I paid my way and paid my dues, and lost my job to outsourcing. Don't you dare try to pin your Limbaugh-McCarthyist liberal stereotype on me. - Reply to this comment
- I could care less what you 'think' of me. If you could think, I just might be impressed...

Gang, a little heads up here. TJ is a multi-ID troll. He is a pathological liar that claims education, skills and other experiences that are non-existent for him. His sickness is that he wants attention and will use name calling and other inflammatory actions in order to continue the discussion. In other IDs, he fancies himself a romantic writer. His literature consists crude "rap".
As long as you respond to his comments, he will continue bait you into an argument.
A little advice-do not feed the troll. Go to another blog and leave him waiting for someone to post at this blog. - Reply to this comment
- themasses,
Thanks for the comment, for a while I was wondering where all the love was. TJ got no check again is starting to get really mad. Calm down TJ, it's not worth killing youself over. - Reply to this comment
- Back to topic. It seems to me that what Obama represents to the black community is hope. Not pie in the sky in the sweet by and by. Not empty promises. Obama won because he appealed directly to Americans--particularly the young and minorities. He used the Internet to take his message directly to the people, instead of paying homage to special interests. He and his organization were smarter and worked harder than his opponents. The power of that message wasn't lost on the black community...or other minorities. It isn't a guarantee--it's an opportunity. But it's one they can now believe in.

- News flash: Obama is bi-racial and not all black. He's half white and half black. The media needs to stop perpetuating this misrepresentation.

- flreason,
You are full off it. I am a white male, live in the south and work 12 to 14 hours a day to get ahead. I have never, ever stuck my hand out for a hand out period. Have you? I pay for my families insurance at the cost of $800 a month. It's enough on me to pay for my own, much less somebdy else.I am middle class and want to keep what I work for. I do not expect a hand out from somebody that has more than me and I sure don't want the goverment taking what I have to pay for some loser. And yes I understand there are some that really do need help and will help them all I can, but to go into a store and buy hotdogs for a cook out and the others buying prime rib off food stamps just rubs me wrong. - Reply to this comment

TJ must have gave up, He walked to the mailbox and not one check of Obamabucks,so he went back to bed and is waiting for tomorrow. I know how he feels. If you remember we were suppose to get free insulation and the works for our dwellings. The only thing I got was a leaking roof, how about you? - Reply to this comment
- tj is the result of those who believed their parents telling them they can't amount to anything because of their race....now at over 50 years old he realizes that was a myth...and is angry now because to late in life to accomplish anything.....sad....just look at how hateful he is.

Let's see...This forum is about what Obama means to Black America. You are not black, so you and others took this time to spew your hatred in the blogosphere trying to belttile and berate blacks...as usual. Bub, the bottom line is, you don't know anything about me, and your assesments of me make you look like a blithering idiot. I'm 'hateful'? Looking at all the venom you idiots spew out on this forum about Obama and so-called 'liberals', the only 'hateful' people here are you idiot conservatives/Republicans/whatever that can handle the fact your boy McBush lost fair and square...

- those shiftless whites who lost their jobs because they are incompetant and indolent
Posted by flreason
Affirmative action in reverse. Incompetent and indolent whites lose jobs, incompetent and indolent minorites obtain employment and promotions.

Apparently you are incapable of recognizing irony. My point is that there are many people collecting unemployment who don't belong to a minority demographic, but they aren't there because of discrimination. They are there because of the unprincipled greed of people in positions of power, including the Republican-majority Congress from 1994-2006. There are many businesses whose leadership is predominantly white male who not only held their hands out for assistance, but who then squandered taxpayer money on undeserved bonuses and luxuries. What is the main cause of our downturn--a war that the Republican President and Congress didn't want to pay for, the billions of dollars being awarded with little scrutiny or accountability to companies like Halliburton and Black Water, the relaxing of Depression-era regulations on financial institutions, the Congressional theft of Social Security contributions that were supposed to be kept in trust, the tax breaks given to companies moving their manufacturing overseas, or the cost of programs to assist the disadvantaged? Let me give you a clue: the economy handed to the Bush Administration had record low unemployment and a budget surplus. - Reply to this comment
- TJ, you are bitter, whats the matter, the stimulis check has not showed up like Obama promised? Lighten up, mine has not showed up, but if you remember Jimmy Carters did not come in the mail, thats why he had only one term. The only thing we got was a big tax increase. Hang in there, if we can cool off those money printing presses you might get something besides the big bill you will be getting in the next few years to pay for all this.
