- Send your own money. Leave me & my family alone. We hard working middle people dont have the capacity to take care of others any more.

- If people want health care, they need to get up and work for it, just like I've done all my life. People need to educate themselves and work themselves out of poverty so they can have what others have.

- Yes, I am. I've paid for my health care all my freaking life! With no help from anybody!

Last September you said you couldn't get health insurance. So are you paying all of your health costs with no insurance?
What happens if you are in a car accident and are really injured? I have a friend who owes $100k from medical costs from an uninsured accident. Just curious as to if you think the average American keeps $100k in liquid assets, - Reply to this comment
- TAX THOSE WHO MAKE MORE...LIKE MY WIFE & I.....TO PAY FOR HEALTH CARE FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANT TO WORK OR GET AN EDUCATION!

Your rant is uncalled for! We are the only major industrial country that doesn't provide health care for it's citizens! There are millions of Americans WHO WORK HARD, but their employer doesn't provide insurance! We need a national health care system, you shouldn't have to depend on your employer for insurance! The way it is now, if you're laid off , you not only lose your inco - Reply to this comment
- Collecting sales taxes is a JOKE. The illegal aliens down here in Texas are living proof of that. If you try to hire a company to do any kind of manual work for you, 75 percent of the time they will ONLY work for cash & will not give you a receipt. They DO NOT collect sales taxes and report it to the state like legitimate businesses do.

Sounds like Texas needs some tax collectors capable of doing their jobs, no offense intended. - Reply to this comment
- I don't respond to a lot of your blithering...

That's not true - you have a defined pattern of behavior which is easily observable. You respond to everything I say - to the point that you bother other people all day long about me - and quit reponding to the discussion when I make a point you'd have to agree with.
Every time I come into a room, you are either calling people my name, or other posters are telling me you've been calling them me. You're obsessed.
So I don't agree - you followed every word I wrote. - Reply to this comment
- The seeds of socialism are being planted. So tell me, when do we start paying more taxes? When will the lower classes be rewarded more than the upper classes? When do start visiting the "People's" clinic instead of visiting doctors and hospitals? When does the U.S. officially start to look like Cuba?

- The other plus to having a sales tax as opposed to an income tax is that if you don't want to pay any taxes to the government, you could legally avoid doing so by not buying anything.

For health care? Well, I guess you could always, just get sick and die...that's cheap!

The point is that people like you who don't want the government to get any of your money could legally avoid giving them any. - Reply to this comment
- A lot of people want universal health care but aren't willing to pay 30-50% of their checks in taxes to pay for it.

- I have never agreed with you on anything in my life...I don't even have to hear what you have to say and know I don't agree with it.

Which is why you just suddenly stopped responding to the thread, and still haven't. I see. - Reply to this comment
