The people of Illinois can stand by the right of law or they can stand by the wrong of injustice! - Reply to this comment
- He would not have been convicted in the Senate if there wasn''''t some pretty damaging evidence and that evidence will convict him in court has well.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty? What is this "if" thing? Either he has been proven guilty or not. I don''t care one way or the other, except that his constitutional rights are upheld. - Reply to this comment
- Mayors and Governors should never be removed from office because of wiretaps, bugs or snooping, many Police Commissioners routinely sweep a Mayors or Governors office, home, vehicles and phones for bugs and wiretaps and always make sure they are safe and clean. --------------------

Right spin..neither should an average American, ahha! But what about that pesky Patriot Act...does that not apply to public servants? Big grey. - Reply to this comment

The bottom line is Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich''s security arrangements and Police Commissioner failed him, betrayed him or worst stabbed him in the back! Successful snooping on any Governor can''t happen unless the Police Commissioner lets it. Those smart Politicians who have a great relationship with their Police Commissioner have nothing to worry about! True! lol

- Blago is a gangster with no particular party alliance. While he might have operated under the guise of a Dem, he does not represent his party or his people. He represents self-serving greed and indulgence. He would not have been convicted in the Senate if there wasn''t some pretty damaging evidence and that evidence will convict him in court has well.

- This nation was built on a solid ground call the constitution.
How can the Senate of the State of Illinois convict when they are charged with the presumption of innocence in the absence of guilt?
Guilt has not been proven in this case. It will come back to haunt them and rightly so. - Reply to this comment
- Regardless of what you think.
Any of you.
It is a primes of law that you are innocent until proven guilty.
Would you not want that premise if you was accused of a crime?
I think so. - Reply to this comment
- A change of venue has no relevance to the idea that he might have a case to argue that he was wrongly removed from office and that the State is liable for lost wages as well as other "losses" that he and his family may have suffered as a result of their decision.

It does when you consider that people like those posting comments here may be sitting on the jury. God help Blago then. The thought process of the every day American is frightening. - Reply to this comment
