Men Were Convicted Of Shooting Mexican Drug Dealer; No Other Pardons Expected
- Anti-war protesters throw shoes at White House
WASHINGTON (AP) %u2014 Anti-war protesters were throwing shoes outside the gates of the White House on President George W. Bush''''s last day in office.
About 500 people marched to the White House and threw about 40 pairs of shoes at the gate while tourists looked on and took photos.
Supporters say they acted in solidarity with Muntadhar Al-Zeidi (MOON''''-tuh-dahr ahl-zay-EE''''-dee), the Iraqi reporter who threw his shoes at Bush during a news conference in Baghdad in December.
The event was sponsored by several peace groups. Organizer Jamilla El-Shafei of Kennebunk, Maine, says the event allowed protesters to express their anger over Bush. She says he is "leaving with no accountability for eviscerating our Constitution."
Time to open the camps. Lots of people need work. Maybe unemployed mall cops can be hired as guards. Pay them $8 an hour, to insurae these scumwads get the treatment they deserve. Gitmos going to be empty. They can send them there. - Reply to this comment
- And while your at it ask the people of the former "Democratic Republic of Germany" what they think about fences along borders and watchtowers and stuff like that. I guess you will get an earfull of things you never wanted to know about...

Interesting argument...
Except that the fence you use so disingenuously as an example was designed to keep people in and curtail their freedom, while the fence along our southern border is intended to keep people out and protect our freedom to control our nation''s destiny ourselves. - Reply to this comment
- When Clinton enacted his pardons , the rep-tards said he was just pardoning criminals.
So what''''s any different when Georgie Boy pardons these (Ramos and Compean) criminals , and they are criminals.
You libtards are now going to have a 4 year orgy. This is our victory. Let us enjoy it. - Reply to this comment

- People, we GOT TO do something about our southern border! I''m a liberal, and yet i feel embarrased about the state of affairs down there.
I have a cunning plan!
The problem is that the border is to long, right? So we simply invade Mexico and anything south until we hit the Panama canal. That should be an easily defendable border, right?
And while we''re at it we should eliminate these pesky border problems up north. These guys even speak our language and are just making access to Alaska a bit harder. I guess it would be like Hitler marching into Austria back in 1938, all flowers and cheers (we should invite Rummy and Cheney!)
And we shall call it "North American Union" (or something like this) and we shall all be living happily ever after. I mean, if banks have to become bigger to survive then the same goes for nations, right? Right! Just ask Stalin and Hitler...

- Thank you, President Bush. We had some doubts that you would have the courage to do this but we are now equally proud that you did.

- have ideas, nobody agrees with them.
1)Announce that ALL illegal immigrants have six weeks to report to the local INS office.
2) They will then be given a post dated work visa. week 1) can return in six years. week 2)7 years. etc... The sooner they report the sooner their visa allows them back.
3) After six weeks any illegal immigrant found in the U.S. will be deported permenantly.
4) close the fence and arm it.
5) When the work visas go into effect, those returning Illegals would have 1 year to apply for and be granted citizenship. IF they fail to do so they are deported.
6) Anyone without a work visa caught trying to cross the border after the six week deadline will be shot onsite, no questions asked.
Just my opinion.

- I wish he would have given them a full pardon, but I''m very glad they are going to be out of prison. I think they should have had every right to put put a bullet in that criminal''s butt. Wonder how many people that criminal has killed indirectly with his drug sales, huh? And BTW, I AM one of those bleeding heart liberals everyone so hates here.

- What they did should be U.S. policy. A cap in the azz of every drug smuggler caught. Arrest them, march them to the boarder, shoot them in the wallet and smile & wave goodbye as they head back home. And let them know that if caught again he gets another .38 cal for the other bu.tt cheek. After the third time, the knee caps are next. Eventually they will get the message or will have to smuggle drugs from wheelchairs. It would a ton of money in court costs.
