Comments on: Bush Agrees To Obama Bailout Request
Obama Seeks Final $350 Bailout Funds Available For His First Days In Office
- The claims I have heard is Obama has already established guidelines for use including the purchase and renegotiation of mortgages as one item for the TARP funds. The unemployment issue I believe is more a target of the separate stimulus package. Although we hope, and I believe, the two will be coordinated to attempt to maximize the impact of the spending.

I sure hope so. If so it is about time. Something has to be done and soon or we will be in a depression instead of a recession. This should NEVER have been allowed to get this bad.

In government terms recessions and depressions are determined to have started long after they actually did due to the need for statistical reporting over an extended period of time. A while back I heard a less scientific and quite inaccurate but an easier understood definition. Imagine yourself as the speaker of the following "A recession is when you are out of work; whereas a depression is when I am out of work." - Reply to this comment

As one that appears to be Rowdy''s lackey / supporter on occasions I take that as a compliment. - Reply to this comment
- You''''re Welcome. I''''ve found that even referencing Far Reich Wingnut statements and opinions in support of an argument with Rowdy or any of her cohorts had no effect on their refusal to admit their "misconceptions" of reality. They usually say the Lifelong-Hardliner in question turned into a Sniveling Commie Hippy sometime in the recent past accounting for their present view.....LOL

- How much is going to help "we the people"? With 1 in 10 home owners now in foreclosure, and the actual unemployment numbers pushing 20%, how much of that is going to the people who need it?

- Bush did something nice for Obama -- started the 15 day clock to access the TARP funds. Even better because the clock will run out on Obama''''s watch and we can see this half handled in a competent manner. Unlike the other 1/2 administered by Bush and Paulson that according to the Administration''''s IG is currently in disarray.

You are tooo funny!
Obama''''s pick for Secretary of Treasury, Tim Geithner, is current secetary Paulsons'''' right hand man!!! So if you think anything is going to change----- please go tell it to the sheep! Tim Geithner has been part and parcel to the entire TARP program, nothing will change!!

Oh but the most important item will change -- Paulson will be GONE and transparency will happen. - Reply to this comment

For some reason most of her posts get taken down. I try only to copy the UserId and minimal text -- then after her posts are taken down all that is left are people refuting her statements.
