He is a plucky little man. I admire his spunk but he is creepy just the same. Somehow he seems more genuine than the politicians who pretend they are not about money when they are, however. Blago is a throwback to the 19th Century!

I agree, the whole mess should be in jail, O''''''''barfi, Blagojevich, Madigan, Jackson, Axelrod, Daley, and Jackson, Jr. Time to put the skids to their little board games. Possibly Rahm also, although I didn''''''''t check to see who put him in office, but Axelrod and Rezko put all the other ones in there.

Which just goes to show how little you know of Chicago Politics. The name Daley came long before Rezko and Axlerod. I suggest you pick up a copy of Mike Royko''s book "Boss: Richard J. Daley of Chicago" written in 1971. It is a very informative and accurate guide to Chicago politics.

I see Jefferies, a Democrat voted "present".He sure has learned the road to the Whitehouse. He had a good teacher.

So. Why didn''''t anyone impeach bush? He makes Blaggy look like an eagle scout.

We are less than a decade removed from impeaching a president and nearly relieving him of office because of a lie in a civil deposition about ********. Yet when congressman Dennis Kucinich recently attempted to impeach Bush over torture, extraordinary rendition and other grotesque constitutional abuses, Kucinich''''s embarrassed fellow Democrats couldn''''t kill the measure quickly enough.

Why? Top Democrats are so complicit in what has happened since 9/11 that my guess is they dare not travel down that road. From voting in favor of the war in Iraq to holding the telecommunications companies guiltless for their role in spying on Americans (Barack Obama infuriated much of his progressive base by voting for immunity), the Democrats have often acted more as enablers than as a true opposition party.

From their point of view, no doubt it''''s best to move on.

Good. This creep is just another stain on the state of Illinois and government in general.

Time to do the laundry!

What in the heck was that press conference about??? This man is so seriously delusional...apparently some of the impeachment counts deal with him exceeding his authority as governor which should be enough on their own to get him out, but really dragging out a bunch of handicapped people as props? Is he for real???

In watching Blagojevich give the press conference it''s pretty *** obvious that he knows deep down that he will be removed from office soo he''s tring to keep his dignity by giving the press his last and final words as Govenor .

If he would just admit his guilt and simply apologize then resign, he would be admired vurses detested .

"Let me simply say I feel like the old Alan Sillitoe short story, ''The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Runner.'' "

You don''t have to feel lonely Blaggy. Illinois'' last governor is waiting in prison to keep you company. Maybe you 2 can share the same cell.
If Rep. Milton Patterson voted for Blaggy perhaps he needs to be investigated, too?

It should not end with just kicking him out of office! This thug broke the law and should go to prison! He is obviously guilty to the hilt and should pay the price for the crimes he committed! It is also obvious that Chicago is full of corruption and should investigate the rest of his fellow cockroaches! We may be surprised who else crawls out of that toilet!
