Comments on: Senate Democrats Criticize Obama Tax Plan
Members Of President-Elect's Party Say Proposed Tax Cuts Wouldn't Stimulate Economy In Significant Way
- I have already started laughing hysterically at the pettiness of the DemocRats, as they turn on each other like filthy hyenas. The next four years will be hilarious! The white Rats "installed" Obama as president because they thought he would be an obedient little well-spoken negro boy - BUT WAIT! Obama has his own agenda!
I feel as though the earth has spun out of its orbit into the Twilight Zone - some alternate reality that should not exist. Soon even the DemocRats will feel the same way. - Reply to this comment
- Welcome to Hollywood president Obama. You wanted this job, and now you have it, good luck controlling your own party. I wanted anyone but Bush and McCain, but I havn''t seen what you can do. It''s time to pull out your magic wand and make us all believe in the future.

LMAO. Move over. We moved over alright, for the first six years of Bush''s presidency, the Republicans had it all. The house, the senate, and the Whitehouse, and they spent more money than God, got us into Iraq, dropped the ball on Afghanistan, went from the largest surplus in American history to the largest deficit, and were a large part responsible for the horrible mess the economy is in right now. No one needs to "move over", but a whole lot of folks need to step up and work with this president to fix this mess. - Reply to this comment
- Trouble in paradise ? There is a Deomcrat majority in both houses and the president is a Democrat. Shouldn''''t they be happy and fix everything ?
Tax and spend baby tax and spend!!!!
Change!!! Change!!! Change!!!

Kind of like the Republicans fixed everything in the first six years of Bush''s presidency. If the Democrats are grousing, then you know it is a good plan.
Rule of thumb. If the Democrats don''t like an economic package, then it is probably pretty good. If the Republicans don''t like a security package, then it is probably pretty good. - Reply to this comment
- For the majority of the businesses which are small businesses, a 3k tax credit does provide an incentive to retain and hire workers. For an employee that is paid 30k a year, the cost for employing that person is reduced by 10 percent which is nice tax cut. Out of all the stimulus package proposals, the 3k tax credit is the only proposal that has a chance to provide a sustained benefit for the economy.

It doesn''t even come close in helping pay for what it costs to give health care to each new employee.
Why should that make anyone want to increase the size of their work force?
Towers Perrin%u2019s annual Health Care Cost Survey shows that in 2008, corporations will spent more for health care than ever before, an average of $9,312 per employee, a 7 percent increase from 2007. - Reply to this comment
- It it somewhat typical the democrats and media pushed this guy to be the next president with everything they had. Now they don''t even agree with him on his own tax plan to help get America jump started from day one. Was it not the democrats during the election who thought he knew what was better for the country or was it enough to just have a "change" in yes we can. Where is the Trust and Loyality?

- I agree with the Dems about the 3K tax credit. It''s kind of dumb. It might create a few jobs but why doesn''t he just admit that the Republicans are right and lower the marginal tax rates accross the board and lower the corporate income tax rate. That''d send a clear message that America is coming back fighting. It''s like the Dems trying to act like they have a clue as to how capitalism works when they''re all just socialists. Move over and let the Republicans do whta they do best STIMULATE the economy. Obama is just a market downer no matter how you cut it.

- Keep up the pressure Barack. The business credit is a grand idea. Many small businesses would be thrilled with the three thousand dollar credit. You will be able to get the Republicans on board on this one. The Democrats are just going to have to understand that they don''t always get everything their own way. That is what got the Republicans in trouble when they had the majority, and is what got the Democrats in trouble in the past when they had the majority. You idiot Democrats. LISTEN to Obama.

- Lets divide 800 Billion by the number of legal tax paying American citizens. Then we take away the 40% or so for income tax, then theres sales tax when you spend it and any number of other taxes dreamed up by the Government for the Government.

- Actually Don, the Democrats are the ones speaking out against it. But it''s OK to vent after a big loss, just don''t let it go on for too many more months or it will be unhealthy. :)

- Th Democrats in true political fashion see this as the mother of all pork opportunities. And, they know, pork buys votes.

While I understand your anger, the bailouts amount to about 3k per ADULT American... so you would only get 6k, as compared to the 1k you are getting. you may not need the 1k. honestly I don''t. Of course, that means we are more likely to spend it on something we wouldn''t otherwise buy, which is part of the purpose. To the average middle class American, this could be as much as 15 or 20 percent of their federal income tax burden, and would probably be welcomed.
It is a screwed up mess any way you look at it. It took 8 years to get to this point, and it will take at least that to get out of it. - Reply to this comment

Yeah Rowdy. Sure. That is what he is doing. If he said the sky was blue you would point out it has traces of white clouds in it and say he is just trying to decieve us all and divert our attention from the clouds. Your opinion has no weight due to your bias. - Reply to this comment
