These people in the Senate think that they are above the rule of law, I as a lay person can interpret the constitutionality of this appointment. He was legally appointed by the legally elected governor of the state of illinois, He has not even been accused of a crime not alone convicted of a crime, which I point out the Governor has not been convicted either. Just because the Federal government accuses someone of a crime doesn''t make it so. Who do Harry Reed and Nancy Pelosi think they are, we don''t have supreme leaders above the president and the Constitution of the United States of America.

Ethical? Probably not.

Political suicide? Likely.
