Well, just step back and look at the overwhelming
evidence to the contrary of a false birth cetificate,
and your sense of what%u2019s reasonable has to take over.
There is not one shred of evidence to disprove, or to
support allegations that the birth certificate he
released isn%u2019t authentic.

And that%u2019s true no matter how many people cling to some
hint of doubt and use the Internet to fuel their innate
sense of distrust.

Good point wontread. DJ is good at clouding her opinions with fact. Distortion is a really good tool. Sometimes it is put to good use.

What did Obama do for Illinois? Then go look at what Palin has done for Alaska. Then come talk to me.

Posted by DJ_Houston at 12:43 AM : Jan 06, 2009

Well, it is clear what your opinion is, though not entirely clear what the basis is for that opinion.

It is also clear that your opinion is NOT a proven fact. Your opinion, while it may or may not be well reasoned, is just your opinion, not a proven fact.

But at the same time Palin, has done more for Alaska than Obama did for Illinois. That is PROVEN Fact

Posted by DJ_Houston at 11:48 PM : Jan 05, 2009

Really? Where has this "fact" been proven? Who was the finder of fact? Who ruled on the admissibility of evidence? How, exactly, was this proven?

Smoothe words, NO BANANA! He was never a champion of the people he served...he was a self-serving politician, too busy playing pay/go politics with his buddies and corrupt Arabic/Muslim supporter Rezko.

You dont know ANYTHING except what you read on your little HATESITES. But, what you have yet to realize is that your opinions are worthless and meaningless because YOU are worthless and meaningless. Thats probably why you always end up on the losing side, because youre just too full of hatred to be reasonable and ignorant to know any better.

OK what is the difference between Palin and Obama? They both want to redistribute the wealth?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Posted by DJ_Houston

The difference is Obama will be your next president and Palin wont. Palin only wanted to be president for certain Americans in certain regions and towns. You know, ''the best part of America''. On the night Obama won the election he gave a message to all those Americans who didnt vote for him, he said ''And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn, I may not have won your vote tonight, but I hear your voices. I need your help. And I will be your president, too.''

Is there any actual functioning gov''''t which makes sense on this planet? I''''m really asking, because I don''''t know of one I can think of (but I''''m pretty tired, so.....)

Posted by slownewsdaze at 11:55 PM : Jan 05, 2009

The Greeks used to ostracize people they didn''t like once a year. Stops the bad ones from coming back every year, solved a lot of problems I''m sure.

You know, you can nit pick about Palin all night long. But remember Obama is the one that said we had 57 States. So you know what, they all say stupid things. But at the same time Palin, has done more for Alaska than Obama did for Illinois. That is PROVEN Fact

Sarah Palin is a governor and Obama was a senator. Compare their deeds for their states is like comparing apples to oranges. Moreover, Palin is a idiot and McCain was a idiot for picking her, he ruined any real chance he had of winning by picking that devisive moron....

I agree 100%. Scrap the two-party system, which also serves to divide Americans who might otherwise have small islands of common ground they could agree on and strengthen the country, and go to a parliamentary system.

That, or an actual direct democracy, but that''''ll never happen - you see how "well" we handle elections...!

Posted by slownewsdaze at 11:49 PM : Jan 05, 2009

I lived in a parlimentary system, it''s about as corrupt as anything I''ve seen in the US.
It''s only saving grace is if you PO enough people you get a new gang of politicos running things until they PO enough people.

The flip side, too, is that the borrowing must also stop. Fiscal conservancy is what the Repub party started with - now it''''s moved more to social conservancy, which I care less about. Live and let live in the privacy of your own homes, but keep the gov''''t out of my pockets as much as possible...

Posted by slownewsdaze at 11:39 PM : Jan 05, 2009

The two party system we have is corrupt, top to bottom, it''s all about special interest groups cutting deals with corrupted politicians; both parties.
We don''t have real media anymore that wants to work to get news, everyone just regurgitates the same stuff all day.

Sounds like a fair taxing system to me. But I''''ve never looked at it before...what would be the downsides?

Posted by TexHillGirl at 11:38 PM : Jan 05, 2009

The goverment wanting to cut political special deals for their big donors.
It would get rid of the IRS, most states already collect sales taxes so no new goverment programs will be required.

17% is pretty fa-reekin'''' high - I think people might swallow 8-10%, which would be better than nothing. What do you think?

Personally, I think SS is doomed, and nothing can make it catch up. But I''''d love to see it. I just doubt it!

Posted by slownewsdaze at 11:30 PM : Jan 05, 2009

Cutting goverment spending would be needed, which is something no one seams to want to do. Ithink when you add up all of the taxes we pay including property taxes we are probably close to 17 percent. Add in all of the tax crooks who are not paying anything right now who would have to pay to buy anything.

I disagree with tariffs. Sounds dangerous to me. Inflationary, world wide. We raise tariff, they raise tariff. How much do we import, and how many TV''s do we make here now? Should we be more self sufficient? Yes we should, but are we? No. I would shelve that idea real quick.

Personally, I am for tariffs if they would eliminate the income tax, which misses all of these huge corporations with amazing lawyers and CPAs, and misses all of the drug dealers and tax dodgers. That, or a national sales tax.

One sales tax would be a good solution, it would also let people see how much they are really paying to the goverment.
I''ve heard 17 percent on everything would pay for everything including future S.Security, with low income people getting up to a 5000.00 dollar remimbursment every year.

The US workers are getting hosed by the unions in America who have run the cost to companies up so much they have to go over seas to survive.
Kill the unions and you save the country.

Posted by robert2237 at 11:20 PM : Jan 05, 2009

Bad ownership and poorly managed companies create all of the fertilizer needed for unions to grow. You push people around they push back.
