Race should make no difference in this situation. Blagojevich picked a black replacement just for the reason that it would be difficult to no affirm him because he is black. The Democrats need to belly up to the bar and be color-blind, just like they want everyone else to be and not affirm him. They said they would not accept anyone he picked, now they need to follow through. Color should not be an issue.

The impeachment committee needs to make a decision. The existing momentum is too strong and the problem of ineffectiveness will not go away.

As usual, you are spreading lies and slander.

Just once, try basing your position on FACTS. It would be so refreshing and new for you.

It speaks VOLUMES about Burris, he who would try to provide ''credibilty'' to Blago by accepting the appointment. This says so much about the ethics and morality of Burris in accepting an appointment by Blago, who was recently arrested for corruption and under investigation for so many charges. What kind of person is Burris? Unethical? Dishonest? Overly Ambitious? or just someone already involved in the who Blago saga?? No way should he be seated until the whole situation is totally cleared. No one is accusing Burris at this time, however, in-depth investigations must be done prior to any forward movement to seat anyone. At the risk of having only ONE senator from IL, it is still prudent to wait and to ensure that this seat had not been sold. Sure, Blago is ''innocent'' until proven otherwise, but after all the tapes have been heard, the stink is too strong to be ignored.
