My unit was chock full of college grads at a time when there was no decent work. We didn''t want to kill but we knew we had to if asked. We trained long and hard and went into harms way at low pay so you could sip your lattes. So yeah maybe I do think I''m better than you.

By the way, a lot of us got out of the service and then went on to finish college, get higher degrees etc. so we did BOTH (so who did more???).

rangerdahl - just because you are a soldier doesn''t mean you are beyond reproach. We have gotten to the point that soldiers are considered holier than anyone, and the smartest, best, and brightest. Most soldiers volunteer because they are either psychos who want to kill legally, or screwups who need some discipline to get the lives straight. Dude, you might be a phenomenal guy who is truly the best and the brightest, but screw the thought that everyone who doesn''t serve is less than you. The 1st Gulf War was a merc operation for Saudi Arabia, after Kuwait was stealing Iraqi oil. Our media campaign did a great job of covering that until after it was over. The current Iraq War? That is and has been nothing but a clusterF with absolutely NO reason other than to privatize everything and make some cash with no bid contracts for neocon cronies. Truly, I cannot think of many times since WWII that our soldiers were used for a solid reason. It isn''t the soldiers faults...our govt reps are usually ***. You have a right to be proud of what the actual soldiers do, but you are no better than those who didn''t serve. You went to Iraq and killed some people for a catch phrase...I got 2 jobs, and put myself through school, finishing with 2 bachelors and 1 Master''s degree. So who did more? You pulled a trigger and yelled "Haji" at some civilians; I drank lattes and contributed to building a more educated and pro-active society.

Given what we have learned about Blago in the past few weeks it doesn''t surprise me that he would appoint someone. What surprises me is that someone would be dumb enough to accept that oppointment. What does that say about your ethics?

Posted by endurorob at 06:30 AM : Dec 31, 2008

If former Attorney General Roland Burris had any Class he would have rejected this appointment under these controversial circumstances. The fact that Roland Burris gave financial contributions to Gov. Rod Blagojevich further taints this appointment. Illinois can''t be this bad, but we''re watching all this with our own eyes!

Bush didnt kill 4,000 Americans, they volunteered for the military just like I did. By the way, many were killed in accidents and from self inflicted gunshots moron. I have been here three times and will come back if needed. I know what I signed up for. It''s just a shame that in a land of 300,000,000 only a few serve. If you want to help, pick up a rifle and serve, otherwise drink your lattee and shut the hell up.

I can''''t even stand to read her posts anymore. They make me nuts they are so off balance. And I definitely cannot stand to correspond with her because she makes no sense.

Reading her posts make me sick. I avoid them. The problem is they go on for miles and miles.

She doesn''t makes sense, and she repeats the same cr*p over and over, so why is it that people continue to converse with her?

Annoying people is the only way she can get anyone to talk to her, and she''''s desperate for attention.

Rowdy

So seriously, what is your problem? You jealous or something? You seem so concerned about who I talk to. Most of the people that I talk to, other than txgrouch, I have talked to for a very long time. You think that I am sucking him in? You must think he''s pretty stupid, huh? And I like how you assume that it was I that started talking to him. You got the hots for him, do ya? That''s okay. You don''t REALLY think that he''s serious in what he says, do you? After all, he''s talking to me about his wife. And you don''t REALLY think that I am serious, do you? Do we sound serious? Most people that know me, know who I''m SERIOUS with. You really need to get a grip on reality. You are losing it. You just keep on spewing out your same old garbage day after day and stop concerning yourself with everybody else. If you want txgrouch, why don''t you just tell him?

Not absurd at all, don''''t you ever read your local newspapers up there?

Oh, but wait, you''''re not really in Chicago...you''''re in your wife''''s garage that she calls Ward 6....

You probably wish I was in YOUR garage right now, but youd better clean it first and open up both doors, because I drive a very large vehicle....:)

THE ELECTION IS OVER! Get it? Doubt it! Critisism and deflected blame is all these libs know, how unfortunate!

NOT everyone is bashing the president. You are correct that Bush is irrelevant to this article; however, please note that your compatriots are just as zealous about trying to pin this to Obama even though there is no evidence he participated. So there''s finger pointing to do at your side as well.

This article is about the Governor of Illinois, He is an arrogant currupt sociopath who can''''t seem to even comprehend the fact he broke the law or has an approval rating of 9%. He slapped the system in the face with this latest move. Now we have the same tiresome Bush bashers ignore this scandal which this articel is about and still DO NOTHING but bash the president at these posts. THE ELECTION IS OVER! Get it? Doubt it! Critisism and deflected blame is all these libs know, how unfortunate!

Well, if you are honestly concerned about staying on the topic of this thread, why are you ONLY outraged with those that bash Bush here and not showing the same outrage for those that bash Obama here???

Oh I seriously doubt that...I''''ve seen too many ''''resolutions'''' full of bull ***** come out of the US Congress that are nothing but pissing in the wind.

No, not Congress!!! The RNC will vote next month on a resolution accusing Bush of socialism....the RNC is considering labeling Bush as a SOCIALIST.....

Well his battle with cancer and the cancer surgery he underwent earlier this year has made him appear to be a fragile shell of the man he was before his health problems.

I''''m not sure the previous precedent for not seating a senator will hold in this case.

Posted by LwyrsGnsMun

yeah, people seem to just be ignoring that part. I know the Adam Clayton Powell case was decided different facts and in the House of Representatives but I don''t think it can be ignored. Interesting though that the Secretary of State is declining to sign off... that may be enough to keep him out.

I would think the communists that hijacked the DNC would be thrilled to death if Bush had developed some socialist policies. If what you say is true, why aren''''t these commies just a bunch of happy campers?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Posted by RowdynTex

Well, it seems that the DECIDERS own political party is calling him a SOCIALIST and will craft a resolution saying so....its ashame that the RNC will turn against the embattled Commander and Chief they once championed.....
