Court To Hear Coleman Petition On Duplicate Ballots; 1,600 Absentees Still An Issue

What do you know about Franken? Is he really honest as you state? I would have liked to see a veto-proof senate, but now that''''s a moot issue, why worry? Franken is a comedian for heaven''''s sake, does that qualify him to be a senator? I couldn''''t care less who wins this disputed election, let''''s get down to the business of running this country; we need wisdom, regardless of political affiliation.

Of course being a comedian qualifies as proof that he would be a good senator. Just like being a good bumper sticker writer can make you president these days.
If you are looking to government for your "wisdom", you are wading in an awful shallow gene pool. - Reply to this comment
- I just hope Al Franken can hold on to this lead. I think when it is all properly counted he will be the new senator. That will be good news for Minnesota and the rest of the country. We need honest, decent, caring people like Franken who have gotten fed up with Bush and Cheney and the horrible things they have done to America.

ROTLFMAO. This coming from a supporter of the party of George Bush, who never had a policy thought in his life. - Reply to this comment
- Makes sense. Al Franken the Comedian will fit in well with the clowns currently in the Senate. It doesn''t really matter who wins on the Dem side though, they don''t really have to think...they just loo at the Dem next to them and vote the same way.

"But the enemy of your enemy is your friend."
Real smart. So, since Al-Qaeda and Iran are mortal enemies, which one of them is our friend? - Reply to this comment
- mtee12 , I have the book. All Franken does is make up lies about what other people said. Franken never once backs up his absurd claims with evidence. Franken is an obscene liar and has no place in the Senate. He is a friggin disigrace.

Amen, right on the mark, 100%. Franken makes W look like Einstein in comparison. He does not aspire to act intellignt, he aspires to be a loud-mouthed vulgar, washed-up comedian who tells bad jokes. He is very good at that. I am embarrassed for the State of Minnesota if he wins. Minnesota seems like a really great state, they deserve better than Franken. Maybe they deserve better than Coleman, too. I am not a Norm Coleman cheerleader by any means. But the enemy of your enemy is your friend. And before anyone starts off on their usual rebuttal. 1. I am not a church going Christian 2. I am pro-choice 3. I admit that George W. Bush won''t be put on Mount Rushmore anytime soon.
Actornaught, I don''t even know who you are or where you are, but I''d prefer you over Al Franken for the Senate. - Reply to this comment

Ah, but w balanced what little education he was force be exposed to by affecting an idiot''s accent and Alfred E. Neuman smirk. It worked for the Idiot Vote, twice even.
At least Al aspires to act intelligent now & then. - Reply to this comment

Bush went to Yale and Harvard, so if you are going to hide behind Franken''s Harvard degree, you are on thin ice. Al Franken is a loud-mouthed, vulgar, comedian who isn''t funny. He''ll be even less funny as a Senator and will embarrass himself and the state of Minnesota. Paul Wellstone, while a unique character for sure, was highly intelligent. Al Franken is no Paul Wellstone. He''s not even Jesse Ventura. - Reply to this comment

- How did they misplace so many the first time around? It seems, despite protests to the contrary, we are Florida.

- If Norm Coleman is a serious person, he should walk the walk he talked back on Nov. 5. His "judgment" should be to step back to allow the important healing process to take place. I''m betting Norm will show that his previous statement on Franken stepping back was just a joke from a non-serious person.
"If you ask me what I would do, I would step back. I just think the need for the healing process is so important. The possibility of any change of this magnitude in the voting system we have is so remote, but that would be my judgment."

- I like the part where, indirectly at best, the neo-conned posters are blaming the middle class workers for the cost of health care and pensions. In fact, these Americans are competing with not just foreign companies, but foreign Governments, as well.

- Jesse Ventura seemed to do a decent job as Governor, but just thinking of Al Franken in the Senate boggles my mind. What is he going to do? A few of his bad jokes? Some of his characters from SNL? I hope that he models himself after Paul Wellstone. If he does that, he''ll be ok. But this is a serious position at a serious point in time. That being said, I think Coleman will win. Coleman is boring, but he is a serious man. Al Franken? He''s neither funny nor serious and I hope he loses.

- Well, MN elected Jesse Ventura for their governor, why not put Franken in as well? Whats wrong with you MN? Have you lost your marbles,or is that the best you''ve got???

- downsteamjim,
No spin at all. No voting fraud due to ACORN has been established at all. If so, please point out just one fraudulent vote counted due to anything ACORN did. Don''t point to registration fraud due to contractors hired by ACORN, because that doesn''t equal voting fraud. If you''re referring to my statement that Coleman said he''d drop out if he was in Franken''s position, he essentially did. I already posted that link just a few minutes ago. - Reply to this comment

Now, will Norm "step back" due to the "importance" of the "healing process"? Will that be his "judgment"? - Reply to this comment
