I dont see what the big deal is anyways.... You people act like we are spending any of our own money. WE ARE OWNED BY THE CHINESE! We are in debt up to our eyeballs. They are already trying to change this country.... imagine that. "The United States of America - Made in China." Sad.

I do not trust Obama and this $1 Trillion dollar stimulus plan.

This will mean that in less than three months, the U.S. has spent almost $2 trillion dollars and where is it going? Where is it coming from? How is it that all of a sudden, the country that does not have any money now has $2 trillion dollars?

Can someone on this blog or CBS please do some investigations and report on all this money and how it is spent? Why is it that all of sudden Obama becomes president and the country has $2 trillion dollars to spend?

Last I heard it was only a maybe on allowing Bush''''s tax cuts to expire.

There still was consideration for legislatively ending them early -- nothing final yet.

Go check out what the Governor of NY is going to do to his state with taxes and spending.

Then picture Obama doing that on a national scale.

When Obama is done with us, "change" is all we''ll have left in our pockets.

Bush had the veto and the white house -- Bush''s Watch -- dont''t forget the Trillions he guaranteed to wall street through the FED and other programs that did not require congressional approval -- his reported deficit does not yet include those figures --

Trillions that did not show up on the national debt unlike the roughly the 6 trillion Bush added all by himself add in Reagan''s 2 trillion and Bush 41 two trillion that is roughly 2/3 of the National debt on Republican watches.

There is little difference between Vietnam and Iraq -- both wars were entered into with no plans and strategy and both are ending in chaos. There was a significant difference the Vietnam war was already started. Bush freely chose to request the start of the Iraq war with an impossible and undermanned mission and no effective overall strategy (or strategery as preferred by the Republicans).

How many trillions of taxpayer money has been spent on the ''war on poverty'', and has the poverty rate changed in the last 45 years? No.

That must have been something LBJ said when he started his War on Poverty.

Sounds like a positive step compared to Bush''s failed expenditure of TARP funds -- The same TARP funding reported for incompetent management by the IG''s and others at this time.

there are a lot of daredevils with big bank accounts.

Hmmm so it is true. Republicans put a price on American life

no. people are willing to take risks - and are free to do so - if the price is right. Some love the thrill and some are luckier than others. That is why there are stuntmen, policemen, firemen. Iraq contractors were paid more than all of them

It is called a democracy. And I am so glad we didn''t elect a communist. Bush got through nationalizing the banking industry. We couldn''t handle another communist

A trillion?

Who in hades does Obama think is going to pay for that? Laid-off workers? outsourced workers? illegal aliens?

If he''s not careful, his name will go down in infamy.
