Comments on: Obama: Economy Worse Before It Gets Better
Pledges A Recovery Plan "That Is Equal To The Task Ahead"
- What Incog-nito meant to say, I''m sure, is that the economic downturn has been ongoing since a few months after the dems took over our government in 2007. The dems breakeven for "success" is basically a 14,000 Dow with a sub- $1.30 Euro, simultaneously. They''ve got a long way to go!
Oh and they have to put back the million plus jobs that have been lost since they took over.
Democrat Congresses have generally brought about economic malaise. This past two years has been know different. - Reply to this comment
- Want to know the problem with America? Just read these comments. The problem with America today are the ENDLESS SUPPLY OF IDIOTS WHO LIVE IN IT. If you wanted to open a factory, where the **** would YOU open it? HERE? To hire people like YOU? No, you wouldn''t. Bush is the worst president in history, no doubt... and it would take more than Obama to undo his damage. But in the end, Bush is not actually 100% to blame for this mess- neither will Obama be for not being able to undo it.

- President-elect Barack Obama said Sunday the economy will get worse before it gets better. That wasn''''t the change that many had in mind last month? If this guy fails then all Republicans will say they said so and many will turn on him like the rest of the world turned on Bush.

The only people who will turn on Obama are the mindless drones who opposed him anyway. The economic downturn has been ongoing and took a sudden turn for the worse with the mortgage and banking fiasco, then the Detroit crisis. It''s not going to go away the day Obama steps into office. Any plans he implements will take months if not years before their effectiveness can be felt.
The change he promised is what he will do once in office, as compared to his predecessor and his opponent (who will likely just let the free market work its "magic" as before). - Reply to this comment

- The economy will get better when the jobs come back. Except that they''ve already gone overseas and won''t be coming back.

- The economy has been heading downward since a few months after the dems took charge in jan 2007. It is no great insight to foresee that more dems means a weaker economy. The "better" Obama refers to is occurs when he gets a Republican congress. Same as it did for Willy Clinton wen he got a Republican congress in 1994 and things got better. Prior to that Clinton and his Democrat congress were going nowhere fast.

- Critics of the War in Iraq told you that it ''bankrupt the country''.
Yet Donald Rumsfield replied to Senator Byrd on war funding: "We have the money...and that''s what the money is their for...."
That on top of the fact that a world wide derivatives bubble based on housing is what has caused the collapse of our financial system and it is now taking with it the already hollowed out "physical economy" such as GM Ford and Chrysler. - Reply to this comment
- NOT GONNA HAPPEN, SONNY!
Bush got NO SLACK on 9/11. He couldn''t even blame it on the past when the stock market dropped in March/April 2001. IT WAS ON HIS WATCH.
So by 9/11/2009, it will be ALL OBAMA''S WATCH.
No more blaming it on the past at that point. According to Democrat logic, after 9 months HE OWNS ALL PROBLEMS. - Reply to this comment
- i cant wait till the health care people try to get on the bandwagon for money saying they can ''t make a living...they don''t make enough.People complain about car prices but what about Dr.''s care and drug costs? They are playing God just to take everything you have or you can die. I see now why they take what i call a hypocrites oath, so they can be equal liars to politicians, who by the way are akin to the FDA who make it possible for that industry to rape the public on drugs with 1000% markup, and to legalize poisons like Aspartame to be used on the people as they have for 20 years now.Drink a diet coke and enjoy...you''ve been poisoned.
