So ironic that Obama is appointing mostly Clintonites to his "new" administration for "change". Had the voters just put Hillary in office, her posse would have hit the ground running. Instead, we''ll have to wait to see if putting in an inexperienced president like Obama with his puppetmasters (Kennedy, Reid, Pelosi, Dean) will be less disastrous for the country than inexperienced Bush and his puppetmaster (Cheney). Especially since policy will swing so dramatically from ultra conservative to ultra liberal.

I''m happy for her,

I don''t think she really wanted the VP spot because then she only would be attending funerals and making speeches that nobody hears about.

But now she will be making her mark in history as she establishes foreign policy.

Hopefully she will be better then Madelyn Albright and joked at Collin Powell for calling the atrocities in Darfur for what they are...''genocide''.

Madelyn Albright also joked about the millions of casualties caused by sanctions in Iraq as saying: "It was worth it".

I hope Hillary can be more sensitive then that and not as brittle as Condoleeza Con.

Assemblyofso,
I am sure he is being pressured to keep these old dogs around, after all he has never managed a shoe store.I am sure these old dinasors have no respect for him as they never heard of him before. All we can hope for is he does a better job in Washington than he did in Illinois. He says he is the boss and they will anwser to him. Wonder if he told that to Kennedy,Byrd, Pelosi and Reid. They would say "Obama who".

Hillary will make a fine Secretary of State.

The solution to the Bill problem is clear, Hillary.

Dump the Head Horndog!

He humiliated you endless times. And you are the brains behind that operation. Bill is just a pretty face.

You don''''t need him anymore. Leave his conflicts of interest behind--with a NO-FAULT DIVORCE!

You and Obama will make a great team to lead the USA for the next 8 years, then you''''ll have your chance at the presidency.

-You maybe right, but I think she got over it (in her mind)! Not in the mind of other nations foreign diplomats though. They still believe she''s a hurt lioness and needs to get revenge at the male-dominated foreign policies, especially when it comes to the Middle-East. This may provoke fear in their mind, but it may be dangerously projecting an image, not fitting what diplomacy and openness Obama is will to show.

By nominating Hillary, it''s a bit nominating Bill at secretary of state position. Bill does not want to be in the front seat, but he can give great solution senarios to many conflicts around the world without being really involved. Hillary is not void, but not the best choice for such position.

-Richard Holbrook should have filled this position, but he''s staying in the back for some remote steering as well, hopefully.

This *** is funny!!

Makes a person wonder if Obama named Hillary not only because she is an great pick for the position, but also for it''s entertainment value.

It will be great fun watching all the right wing-nuts as their neurons short circuit, their ears start smoking and they become rigid and then tip over.

LMAO!!

Hoary rhetoric? As he stood in front of $5.3 million worth of styrofoam greek columns screeching about how POOR and DOWNTRODDEN Americans are, but they bought him $5.3 million dollars worth of greek columns when they can''''t even buy gas, groceries or make their fricking house payments.

I''''ll swun! Must be some really dumb people in the US that bought this man''''s arrogant bull KRAP!

It will be interesting to see how a REAL Secretary of State handles foreign policy, instead of the do-nothing, grin and wave excuse for a person that now holds the office.

According to the AP, she has made all of TWO phone calls to Pakistan during the current terrorism incident in India. I wonder where she found the time in her busy schedule of doing nothing?

If you are going to criticize Obamas appointments, you had better be ready to compare them to who Bush appointed.

Did anyone see Hillary in that purple prom dress they have been showing on the news. When I saw her in it I almost threw up in my mouth

Unbelievable! You can look at it two ways...Keep your enemies closer than your friends. Obama wraps her up to stay out of 2012, since she is now part of team Obama. Secondly, I can''t believe he wants her on his team since the two sides have to negotiate everything. She won''t make it full term. So much for change. This country needs revolution.

"Some Democrats and government insiders have questioned whether Clinton is too independent and politically ambitious to be an effective secretary of state."
