Comments on: MSNBC's Chris Matthews For U.S. Senate?
Pa. Democratic Party Leader Says TV Host Might Challenge GOP's Arlen Specter
- Why is CBS closing comments on the Obama article "Help is on the way"? They state that if the news is more than 72 hours old, then comments are closed: Why do they have such an old news article on the cover? Helloooooo! Anyway, if help is on the way, we should see it coming, perhaps hearing the rumble of "help" making its way to ourselves, or smelling the sweetness of "help", but for the time being I think that "help" is an utopia, given the current economic conditions. Sorry that this comment is out of context here and I wouldn''t be surprised that CBS removes it after a while, but please, allow people to comment if the news is still on the cover page at least.

LOW AND BEHOLD, found Bush to have actually outperformed many other presidents in in less severe situations
It''s amazing that you still support Bush & most of his own party did not want his support or backing when Senators were up for election last month. A huge majority of the Republican Party avoided Bush like the Plague during the elections. - Reply to this comment
- The two biggest problems neocons and by extension, the neo-conned bloggers, have with this guy is that he''s intelligent, AND he has a real personality, unlike the pods and phonies the ''pubs keep trotting out.

- Arlen Specter (born February 12, 1930) is the senior United States Senator from Pennsylvania and a member of the Republican Party. Elected in 1980, he is currently the 15th-most senior member of the U.S. Senate as well as 7th most senior Republican in this body.
Chris Matthews already has the election in the bag.
Arlen Specter is 78 years old and its time to retire. - Reply to this comment

- Mathews is an idiot. But voting morons are more prevalent in the US now (many on this site). I say he gets voted in.

Since you obviously do not like this man, who would you propose to replace the Fascist? I think Matthews is a very intelligent person AND he was VERY opposed to Bush, Trickle Down and all the rest of the failures provided by the Republican''s. - Reply to this comment

This is what happens when a member of the religious right drinks and posts at the same time. - Reply to this comment
- The fact of the matter is that there are probably a lot of brilliant minds that would do an exceptional job of representing the people of their state but they remain ''unknowns'' because to campaign in this country requires you have big money and lots of backing OR a great deal of visibility (as does Matthews) to draw attention to yourself as a candidate. As such you will most likely never see the best qualified person get the job.
