Matthew''s will have his hands full. Arlen may be a Republican but he''s always voted on the side of moderation. But you have to admit we could all really have fun with this one. What will Chris Matthew''s campaign slogan be? ''Vote Matthews - for a warm sensation!'' How about ''I''ll make you tingle too!'' Come on - join in...let''s give Matthew''s the benefit of our wisdom in helping to shape his campaign.

Arlen Specter has been a voice for moderation; he is not a right wing nut job. He has performed well and done so while bravely fighting cancer. I sincerely hope the good people of Pennsyvania recognize this fact and place him back into the senate, regardless of who runs against him. BTW, I have nothing against Matthews, just like Specter.

I hope he does run. To me, he has lost all credibility as a journalist and has been an advocate for Obama for a long time. His objectivity is completely blown and he has become an advocate.

I give him full marks for realizing this as Franken did. I only wish Olbermann, Maddow, Oreilly, Limbaugh, etc would be so brave and do the same.....

Leave journalism to those who at least pretend to be impartial......

Matthews doesn''t look bad, considering he has had a face lift and hair transplant. Now all this demented Scarecrow needs is a brain transplant.

Keep your day job Chris. I think you are more into making the millions instead of serving anyway.

Please not Chris Mattews. Instead of a tingle up his leg, he''ll have body fluid running down it.

The two biggest problems neocons and by extension, the neo-conned bloggers, have with this guy is that he''s intelligent, AND he has a real personality, unlike the pods and phonies the ''pubs keep trotting out.

Go Chris Go

Chris Matthews embodies the lessons of Jean Renoir''s "Rules of the Game." He is a gentleman; he''s not a demagogue. He believes in good, hard political debate. But he also believes, at the end of the day, in shaking hands and having a drink with the other side realizing that they love this country as well. It''s good sportsmanship, and it''s also good character. This sort of true blue American gentleman is a dying breed. And he''s got my support.
