Obama has to make sure there is a country to save first, before he can start healing it

*** Cheney was questioned about whether the fact that two thirds of Americans were opposed to the Iraq War had any influence on decision-making, he said that the American people get to make their input every four years and after that they can be ignored.

If I had been voting for the man, I guess I''''d be asking - "Where''''s the change ?"

Possibly the change is in his thinking, now that he''''s going to be President ? No one wnats to be remembered for turning a recession into a depression.

But hey - thanks for your votes anyway. (Hope you dodge bus wheels well.)

"The economy is likely to get worse before it gets better," he said in a downbeat forecast.

yuh think ?

Now admittedly, he needs to put it in terms that the public can consum - but isn''''t this just a mite bit uninspiring ?

I hope this isn''''t his best shot...

You need to listen to someone besides Rush to make your arguments. The "change" is "change" from George Bush''s failed policies. And if you don''t think he is moving us away from Bush''s failed policies, then you haven''t been watching. I don''t care if he puts the entire Clinton cabinet in the Whitehouse, as long as it is not George Bush''s cabinet. That is the change we need. Change from an immoral, corrupt, administration, that joyously spent us from a huge surplus to a huge deficit and dared to call themselves conservative.

Obama couldn''t choose a better deus ex machina to solve the current economic and financial crisis than former Treasury Secretary Robert E. Rubin''s disciples. It''s like calling the rapists to give therapy for rape victims. Fasten your belt folks!

leave it to the republicians to mention taxes when they was no mention of tax increases what-so-ever by Obama! if it is successful at creating 2 1/2 million jobs and reviving the economy would the increases in revenue pay for this economic plan (thus not increasing taxes). As a Republican I am down right tired of the the republican''s doom & gloom rhetoric and talking about the burden on the American people when the Republican party only represents the rich!!!

I guess the republican plan is to do nothing? oh wait they did say we should extend the capital gains tax breaks (for the rich white corporate executives). I guess if the 2% of American''s that hold 90% of the wealth in this country have more money to spend it will trickle down to the rest of us (when they buy their luxery goods)!!!

let''s see, everytime bush spoke he drove the market down hundreds of points. everytime obama speaks, he reassures the markets of positive action and the market responds by hundreds of points in the positive direction. i guess there is no fooling the markets about which policies will better improve our american economy. good riddance to bush republicans. hope over fear. thank god obama will be president.
