If you are seriously asking, richardson was chosen because he succesfully created jobs by building a new transportation infrastructure which inlcuded light rail. this is directly in line w/ Obama''s goal to create 2.5 m,illion jobs by rebuilding infrastructure and expanding new energy technologies.

Honestly, Rowdy used to be a lot nicer but i think months of namecalling etc on these boards have turned her into a blog monster :P

Well, my battery is running low and if I go get the power supply I will miss part of the basketball game I am watching... and i really want to pay attention to the game more anyway, so have a wonderful evening everybody.

strat, sorry, I had to leave with a family emergency and missed your response.

Came back and still had the same thought.

Richardson was on my top tier list with his resume but his performance in the debates was terrible.

Not sure why he gets a job in commerce as he has never worked in commerce and has been on the public trough for many years.

Kind of surprised at this pick as Richardson did so poorly in the debates the guy sounded like he had just wondered into the room.......

I know, but like I said, I am exploring...I like people talking to live bodies...rather than having to listen and wade through recorded messages...but I might not have any choice...taking on this many staff was a risk....but so far it''''s been a good one...we''''ll see.

If i can ever help with any questions, my expertise goes from the phone systems, dialers and software to coaching techniques etc. No charge for general advice :) ''cept you have to promise not to say bad things about Obama while I am helping you hahahaha

The auto scheduler is something I just haven''''t been big enough to explore...I just got it built up to 25 last February while I was growing in start up mode..

Understood. Good ones are expensive.

It''''s a system designed for outbound calling where the customer presses the 1 button to get a CSR..you can use the system with auto dialers on or off...it will pick up accounts with no names and dial them...during regular business hours I run the outband on four T1 lines out of the office...

Yeah, you can outsource and watch all your control, and then your customers, and then your profits... go away.

Posted by Stratmaster2 at 09:12 PM

Seriously, I have multiple customers who tried it and had to frantically reverse course to save their businesses.

I certainly have no intention to get that big and no intention at all of having to manage that kind of staff and benefits...this is actually a pilot program more or less for me...actually on days the office is closed the system is set up to run by itself, and customers can go online and fund their accounts themselves with credit/debit cards...I''''m exploring outsourcing as we speak, either to a company here, or one in Mexico...

I also can listen in on their calls for quality control live, they''''re recorded also...and I also have a video cam here on my desk where I can see them over in the office, lol

Yeah, if done properly Supervisory monitoring ca be a great thing. If done poorly it can destroy the customer sevice atmosphere and bring a contact center to its knees. if you have the software I think you do it is pretty decent, although if you grow much more you will find there are better options, and automated scheduling will become a huge timesaver.

Yes, I''''m using call queues designed by a company out of Australia, and then I also have an Asterisk program I use to look at statistics.

Probably Zeacom or a rebranded version of it (they originally rebranded to a few different manufacturers and distributors, think they still do)

I managed the first 24 hour customer service center for a major telecommunications carrier until 15 years ago, and I turned that into a sales and consulting career. Had 125 CSR''s, half full-time and half part-time. I undestand the scheduling issues. At your size i expect you are getting to a point where manual scheduling is becoming a bit of a headache.

Well, thanks, but I rather prefer experts in the field...

Posted by Rowdydfw at 08:56 PM

you wouldn''t know an expert on anything if it bit you in the face. Now seriously, this is what I do for a living, and a pretty good one at that, and I am trying to be nice and provide you some assistance. I know we hate each other but I keep politics and business separate. lol
