And he''''d have taken Bill Clinton, Al Bore, Blow Biden, and a lot of other democraps with him! That''''s why they buried investigation and impeachment in the judicial committee never to be seen or heard from again.

Morning Rowdy.

This is something I saved from somewhere, I like it and I think it is the truth.

You''ve probably seen it already, but it''s worth posting again.

We are less than a decade removed from impeaching a president and nearly relieving him of office because of a lie in a civil deposition about ********. Yet when congressman Dennis Kucinich recently attempted to impeach Bush over torture, extraordinary rendition and other grotesque constitutional abuses, Kucinich''''s embarrassed fellow Democrats couldn''''t kill the measure quickly enough.

Why? Top Democrats are so complicit in what has happened since 9/11 that my guess is they dare not travel down that road. From voting in favor of the war in Iraq to holding the telecommunications companies guiltless for their role in spying on Americans (Barack Obama infuriated much of his progressive base by voting for immunity), the Democrats have often acted more as enablers than as a true opposition party. From their point of view, no doubt it''''s best to move on.

or preferably go crawl into W''''s cell with him when he''''s convicted of war crimes!

This will never happen.

If he was going to go to jail, he would already be there.

Exactly where is the change about which Obama talked?
This sounds like a return to the Clinton days, not a change!

Obama wants to hit the ground running and he would NOT be able to do so if he bought in a Team of NOVICES. He is gathering a team of people who know their way around DC and know how to accomplish the duties they are assigned ''in Obama''s name''. Don''t forget that they will have HIS WORK to do and they will ANSWER to him. If they fail to do so, they will be fired. He doesn''t need a REASON to dismiss them and they know he will let them go if they do not uphold his requests and standards. Beyond that, he will also place his younger ''change agents'' in places where they will be able to learn so that in the future, they will be qualified to take the positions of his current chosen staff.

Like many, I''m not crazy about his appointment of HRC after the way she tried to ''ruin'' him with derrogatory rantings and LIED outright about Bosnia, but if she doesn''t do what he expects from her, she will be gone and will not be able to return to her senate seat as it will no longer be available. So we can only wait to see how she does and if she survives as SoS. She is really not a follower; she wants to lead, but in this case, she has no choice but to follow. Just like in "Team of Rivals", Lincoln had no choice but to let Salmon Chase go when he continually tried to undercut Lincoln''s orders. So we will definitely find out if HRC is Salmom Chase or William Seward [who not only served Lincoln well, but became a very close friend of Lincoln''s].

The United States is trying to recover from the debacle of having the imbecile George Bush as head of state, a person who is universally despised around the world as an ogre. Now we are faced with getting the Queen of Sleaze as secretary of state. Just more of the same. Certainly Obama can do better.

I voted for change. If Hillary Clinton is secretary of state, I will vote for change again. Maybe McCain wasn''t so bad after all.

Let hope she "keeps her head down" when she visits Bosnia again. Seriously, I think if Obama makes it clear who is in charge, she will do well in this position.

Another big improvement in the Govt. Hillary doesn''t play the piano as well as Condi, but she also got where she is by being smart, not "compliant" as Condi is!

Great...wasn''t she a former Director for Walmart?

Looks like more chinese junk and poison for the poor people and no oversight to protect the American people.

What a sad mistake he made.

What is Obama doing appointing the Queen of Sleaze to be Secretary of State. The US will be represented abroad by a sleaze bucket. Bill and Hillary are known around the world for their underworld and shady dealing. Clinton as secretary of state would be a terrible setback to U.S. diplomacy and an insult to our standing in the world.

Just wait until Hillary gets SOS. She can travel the world setting up profitable deals, and Cigar Bill can come in the back door and sign the contracts. As an add on, he might be able to sell them some shares in White Water Properties. People of the world, lock up your daughters, ole Cigar Bill is about.

I hope Obama will make true productive changes in America, his appointees from the old school give me pause.

My hopes diminish daily.

Wasn%u2019t he claiming to get away and above entrenched Washington politics? Now he%u2019s just rehiring them?

What the heck happened with the Change We Can Make Obama. He is appointing all the Clinton crowd.

Posted by cattieJ at 09:40 PM : Nov 21, 2008

So you are surprised he is appointing Democrats ? He is a Democrat. Aside from Clinton, when was the last time we had a Dem. administration ? A long time ago. If he wants to appoint people who are Dems and are knowledgable about government, it stands to reason that they were active in government during the Clinton administration. Where else would you find them ?

I''m impressed. The President-elect has made three VERY GOOD cabinet selections so far. I''m even more impressed that he swallowed a lil pride and ignored all of the nay sayers in selection of Hillary Clinton as SecSTATE. I was never impressed with his judgement during the campaign. I am now.
