My own wife''s dear 94 year old Democrat mother used to begin dinner preparations by grabbing up a nice, plump chicken, lock its head to the ground with one foot, and proceed to separate head from body - and yes, the torso would then flap and flop around just like the proverbial "chicken with its head cut off".
My wife, as a very young child, and her 8 siblings were all witness to this barbarous, but not uncommon practice of the Midwestern farm-wife, and all seemed to grow up unharmed, unscathed, and, indeed, more stable, well-grounded, and "normal" than your average fruit-loop on the loose today. - Reply to this comment

- Even Democrat Presidents pardoned only one Turkey knowing full well others were being killed. There''s nothing wrong with eating meat as far as I''m concerned. Besides, a liberal Christian can''t oppose eating meat without denying the revelation Peter received from God saying God cleansed all meats and told Peter to eat them. Liberal Christians that advocate vegetarianism are for all practical purposes advocating "weak[ness in the faith" (Romans 14:1-2.)!

- It is funny, but surely far too much is being made of this. On Thanksgiving, turkeys die.
On the whole, it is a pretty inane interview. I have never seen an interview with someone like Gov. Corzine of New Jersey on such a fluff topic.
Millions of Americans are losing their jobs, and we are wasting time discussing the fact that turkeys are dying on-camera (as opposed to off-camera). If the turkeys were being slaughtered just to provide a visual, that would be a different story. But these were turkeys destined to die. Big deal. - Reply to this comment
