Ohio Government Watchdog Says Campaign Figure's Privacy Violated Inappropriately

He''s not a plumber. 1st lie. He wasn''t about to buy his employer''s business, that was the second lie. Third lie was to say that he didn''t want to buy the business now because of Obama. Need more?
Anyone here afraid to earn 21,000 or more a month because of Obama''s tax plan? - Reply to this comment

- Joe the Plumber . . . aren''''t his 15 minutes up?

%u201CJoe%u201D and his agent were at the Las Vegas Tech convention last week trying to get exposure.
Next it%u2019s a country music album.
Then it%u2019s a run for political office
Those are his plans anyway
Hopefully he will quietly return to Ohio and disappear from the media screen - Reply to this comment
- Agreed, but don''''t be so naive as to pretend this type of intrusion is relegated to one party, administration or gubment agency.
Being partisan as to who gets to trample on you rights only serves to empower those who do so.
We shouldn''''t be afraid of our govt. On the contrary, it should be the other way around.

Believe me, I''m not naive on the subject and I fully agree with you. When an abuse of power is found, the punishment must be severe, termination should be the only option regardless of political affiliation. - Reply to this comment
- Only the worst of people would defend someone like Joe the Liar for lying. Oh how dare anyone notice!!!!

- Being as there was no leegitimate reason for this intrusion, Governor Strickland should have fired her on the spot. A thirty day suspension is just a slap on the wrist; she should be made an example of what happens when officials mis-use their power and authority.

- He should have gone to jail also. Why do you defend someone''''s criminal actions on political affiliations?

I am not defending this type of behavior only showing precedent. I actually agree this type of government intrusion is wrong and railed against it ad nauseam when it was revealed that the airlines were going through our bank accounts, and the NSA was listening in on phone calls. Remember the TIPs program, postal employees and meter readers spying on citizens. I objected to all of those examples but most on the right seemed utterly unconcerned. That is why I am generally unmoved by the faux outrage over revelations that Joe didn%u2019t pay his taxes or carry a license. - Reply to this comment
- So I guess the question remains - do you believe that what Helen Jones-Kelley did was wrong or right?

- Only because your bumb turned out to be a bumb. In other words, you would have liked it that he would have continued giving the misimpression that he was a business owner who would be hurt by Obama''''s tax plans.

- Add to the fact that she also accessed Joe the Plumber''''s records should show a trend of criminal misconduct - What she did was wrong and she should be fired IMO

- The fact that earlier this month, Jones-Kelley was put on paid leave over separate allegations that a state computer or state e-mail account was used to assist in political fundraising. The inspector general''s report concluded that she used state e-mail to provide a list of names of potential contributors to Democrat Barack Obama''s campaign.

You don''t think we''re going to get change? Obama is set to reverse a whole lot of Bush policy with just a swipe of his pen on Jan 21st. - Reply to this comment
