Don''t be an idiot.
9/11 hadn''t happened yet either. That had a little something to do with things.
Of course, if Clinton had been doing his job instead of Monica, 9/11 would never have happened.
You liberals love to act like the worst terrorist attack in our history never happened and had no impact on our country.
Just blame Bush.
You''re pathetic. - Reply to this comment
- Ya know...the change that Bush brought this nation was diametrically opposed to the efforts accomplished by the Clinton administration. That Obama reverses course back toward those things within the Clinton administration that worked while tweaking others IS CHANGE! Seems that what some people would prefer is that the Obama maintain the status quo of the past eight years and that just isn''t going to happen. I for one would relish a return to the prosperity of the Clinton years minus the drama. I know the CEO''s and upper management people who have gotten rich the past few years at the expense of those below them who have had to work their tails off for less won''t appreciate it but frankly my dears.....I don''t give a (I don''t think CBS will let me use that word). As for Daschle - Excellent choice!!

"I have a 401 K with Merrill Lynch and my broker told me to sell if Obama was elected and I did."
very amusing....the republicans get the country in this big mess and then you see comments like this....total and complete blindness - Reply to this comment
- Change We Can Believe In. Why all the old guard for these cabinet posts for the new Obama administration? Bush brought most of his team from his father''''''''s administration. ''''''''Change'''''''' means bringing in people from outside the beltway. Dump Clinton for Secretary of State. She is too much of a Washington insider.

These people should be thought of as generals to do the president''s bidding as well as make recommendations and such. It will be Obama who makes the big decisions. - Reply to this comment
- Ah yes, "hope and change", manned by old Clinton cronies and has been, rejected politicians. Thank you enlightened voters you really screwed us on this one. . . and don''t worry, we won''t let you forget where the fault lies.

Sorry you were wounded... but even though I have lived in Minnesota for a very long time, I still am one of those "hicks" from the South.... I am sure you will never understand this but where I come from, making fun of people just to make yourself feel smarter or more important is a sure sign that your parents neglected to teach you manners when you were growing up. You can go back and look at anything I have posted on these pages. I do not resort to name calling and I do not think much of those who do... On the left or the right. - Reply to this comment

If John McCain was the president elect and the markets were still doing bad would you blame McCain
Posted by DJ_IL at 04:59 PM : Nov 19, 2008
Yep.... I would but I think the markets would be more stable because was not going to increase Capital Gains.
Since Obamas election the dow has dropped over 1700 points. This is key indication the markets are not in favor of all of this bailout talk, higher taxes, especially increasing the capital gains taxes. Sell offs will continue to mount. What you will see in the forceable futures are day traders swooping in, increasing the market for a day or two and then again massive sell offs to take profits before Obama takes office and increase capital gains. - Reply to this comment
- CPelzar:
Psssst! I don''''t know if you''''ve noticed, but Obama isn''''t in office yet. The market began this fluctuation months before Obama won the election. Your accusations are typical GOP revisionism. The economy is in the crapper because of deregulation, corporate greed, ruinously expensive wars and bad international relations which devalued the dollar and drove oil prices through the roof.
Well, either that, or it''''s all Obama''''s fault. Assuming you are an honest, decent person and not simply a Limbaugh/Hannity fan, don''''t you think you should wait ''''til Obama actually takes office befoire you start blaming him for everything? Or are you one of those people who is still blaming Bill Clinton for things, eight years after Bush took over?

Gore will be the Secretary of Irrelevance.
A highly paid position for former professional politicians that have never had a job doing anything else. - Reply to this comment

Ah, you see sirs, in my country we refer to such a posting as "rubbing salt in the wounds." A parody, don''t you see, of the crimson-necked, ignorant racists in your own nation who were so certain, a mere fortnight ago, that the estimable Mr. Obama could not possibly win electtion as head of your colonial parliment.
Odd''s fish, it nears tea time. Ta! - Reply to this comment
- Hey Obama, the market loves whit your plans are so much the Dow is down -427.47 and looks like it will close below 8000.
They love your choices so far as well your threats to increase capital gains. Problem is there are no more gains to TAx, what will you then increase the Gas Taxes? You know that is coming since Gas is so much lower now.
What a joke, the market has crashed over the non "change" promises. - Reply to this comment
- They cannot lay you off, look at the UAW contract with Chrysler, you do not know what you are talking about.

You overestimate the power of unions. The UAW contract CANNOT tell chrysler that they can''''t lay off people.
No product selling,no product produced, no Job producing it. Simple business and the UAW does not control layoffs or unemployment..
Educate yourself.

Wrong and in voluntary retirement, they need to pay each worker 105K to leave.
Can''t argue points with someone who does not know any of this. I know it is hard to believe.
