Comments on: AP: Obama Unlikely To Seek Torture Charges
Advisers Tell AP He'll Set Up Panel To Probe Interrogations, But Criminal Charges Unlikely
- Second, for any Republiscum to refer to we Democrats by any derogatory name is pathetic, and a typical double standard.

Really??? What I''m seeing is liberal democrats using derogatory names. How is Obama ever going to bring the country together when his own followers won''t practice what they preach?? - Reply to this comment
- abbe91 ---- Just because some professor from Columbia and a former White House counsel gave their 2 cents to a reporter, doesn''''t make any Bush pre-emptive pardons (Factual).... now I''''m done with you.

And the article doesn''t say that they are "factual". My point was that this rumor, if you want to call it that way, doesn''t originate from CBS. We''ll find out about the facts before January 20th - Reply to this comment
- Maybe the stage is being set for members of the busg administration to be tried at the International Court of Justice. If bush stoops low enough to pardon himself, it doesn''t hold water at the World Court, which may be where he and his minions are held accountable.

- Why would Obama make his intentions known now about whether or not he will go after the Bush administration for wrong doings...it says right in the article that Bush could pardon those involved right before he leaves office. I don''t believe Bush is going to get away cleanly. He''ll get what he deserves!

When it''s on "60 minutes", it usually says so. Sorry but that story is not an exclusivity from CBS. It''s about everywhere but Faux News.

- abbe91 ---- lol , which means it was on CBS''s 60 Minutes to start with. People should learn to read the whole article and get a sense of who''s reporting and where their info is coming from before commenting.

So if Hitler is dead and gone why are we still prosecuting his officers?
Why are we not willing to prosecute our own government officials for what they prosecute others for?
Our government has no problem prosecuting it''s own civilians.
What a hypocritical policy and government. - Reply to this comment
- preemptive pardons are an admission of guilt. You can''''t pardon someone for committing torture unless they tortured. Remember: "America does not torture"

You libs are just too laughable. Were does it say that Bush says he''s going to "pardon" anyone for anything, as in "guilty"????? This is something that CBS drummed up for good controversy. Get a grip people. - Reply to this comment
