- Why wasn''t a member of the Bin Laden family interviewed on ABC to talk about their 40 year documented relationship with George Bush?
I wonder what it is that ABC and the main street media is trying to hide. - Reply to this comment
- Would you please take that Bush hatred and accusations for the IRAQ war soemwhere else? We also saved thousands, perhaps millions. War is Hell. How we got into IRAQ has been debated to death. I believe it had international support. Please check your facts and then reconcile yourself to the fact that america usually picks pretty good presidents. Lets hope we did it again.

- Its really hard for me to believe he is being truthful with us. But, maybe he is. Lets see. He is our president and we will support him. But be aware, if we see more evidence of falsehood there is reason for concern.

Obama obviously will minimize his contact with Ayers, as any politician will. Let''s assume that he knew about Ayers'' past when they both sat on the education board, and had a few coffees or beers afterward to shoot the bull. That still does not mean Obama agrees with Ayers'' viewpoints. I''ve had lively discussions with acquaintances, and even friends, on issues we completely disagree with. Let''s say, for discussion''s sake, that Ayers did spend time in prison, got released, went on to become a professor, then sat on the board with Obama and got along just fine, as with other board members. Does that mean every member on that board agrees with Ayers'' past? - Reply to this comment

- "I never hurt or killed anyone," he said.
Except for those hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese and Cambodians that died at the hands of the Communists, thanks to people like you, Bill Ayers.

As long as people arent targeted???
So its ok to plant and explode a bomb at a police station, just as long as we get people out of the way!!!
Nice dodge, CBS for not mentioning that little point......GET OUT OF THE OBAMA TANK ALREADY!!!!!....
you won. he is president. you can become a news organization again!

Yes, I did. The guy seems to have a pathology of some kind. He sees himself as a savior working for peace who did nothing wrong. He relishes in the fact that he "outsmarted" the law (Guilty as Hell, free as a Bird). He admits to placing bombs while Dr King was marching peacefully. Yet, he claims he was for peace!!
I think the guy is an egomaniac who will twist all facts he is presented with. Lets hope his influence on our society is over. - Reply to this comment

Your a nutcase. ... and you are trying to blame the Democrats. Good luck with that. The veil has been torn, and only the hardliners who hate without reason and the uneducated who just hate something different are the only ones who cannot see.

YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING!!!
I think your post is explanation enough that you are irrational. I made no accusation towards the democrats and demonstrated no hate in my post. But you seem to harbor unwarranted hate even after electing Obama. Irrational.
I will not answer any further posts by you util I receive and apology for your attack.

- I don''''t understand this notion of being a vocal terrorist. Maybe its just my lack of piece''''a shyyyt ******** cop upbringing, but it seems to me that if there''''s to be a terrorist out there.. he ain''''t gonna talk about it. I could be wrong though... heaven knows the neocons want us all to be involved in this ******** thing.

- Our own government''''s hypocrisy regarding war starts from the French & Indian Wars...Revolutionary War....War of 1812 and right up to the present.
It was always about land and alienating the indian from his possessions: the future of the United States at the expense of Native Indians. Yep, even the war of 1812 when the British wanted to keep using American Sailors on British Warships during European conflicts. The British used every Indian ally to prosecute the war and defend Canada, too.
Just remember the catch phrase that "all men are equal" and remember Indians were pushed off the land and in the South, slaves were brought in from Africa to work the land. "Justice for all" is another at the Supreme Court.....and remember a black man running from slavery to a free state was judged to be still property by a unanimous Supreme Court before the Civil War....

Im not sure what your point is here. But the injustices you identify seem true. It also seems that our country has taken many reasonable steps to avoid these wrongs. I have seen black and white and red marching together for equality. That doesnt happen anywhere else in the world.

- What Ayers did was clearly wrong, but that still has nothing to do with Obama. He hosted a meet-the-candidate event which Obama attended among many others. They served on the same school board where the topic was education. Must Obama, when he was a community organizer, run a background check on every person he encountered or even worked with? That''''s ludicrous.

This is an old and dead horse but since we insist on continued beatings here is my answer:
Yes, Obama needs to be truthful with us. Its nearly impossible to believe that he was an active member on a committee and NONE of the other members whispered to him that it was "that Bill Ayers". "That Bill Ayers" was in the news on these same subjects as late as 2001. Worse, Obama wrote a pice for the newspapers praising one of Ayers books.
Obama knew him, its obvious. Obama probably wasnt a close friend but its highly suspicious that he knew of his past. By itself, its not a huge deal but it is part of a pattern that includes Ayers, Wright, and Rezko with Obama denying being influenced by any of them.
Its really hard for me to believe he is being truthful with us. But, maybe he is. Lets see. He is our president and we will support him. But be aware, if we see more evidence of falsehood there is reason for concern. - Reply to this comment

But, during the campaign both McCain and Palin lied to the American people when they stated, time after time, that Obama and Ayers were close friends and close "pals". Both McCain and Palin need to (1) say where they got their information from and (2) apologize to the American people and Obama.

Look, the election is over and we Repubs are trying to support a new president. We have doubts but we love America enough to put those aside until there is more proof. Meanwhile, we are going to watch and speak up for YOU and us.
But please stop dragging up the wouldns that McCain and Palin inflicted on you. They were just in asking the candidates to clarify things so YOU could see them before you voted.
As for proof:
1: There is an article written by Obama praising one of Ayers books.
2. Obama and Ayers sat on boards together. I cant believe no one told Obama about Ayers past (at least a whisper during coffee break?)
3. In Ayers own words "I was asked to host a coffee anouncing Obamas candidacy". So, they also have mutual friends, if not friends themselves.
Its not important, you and 55% of Americans have made our choice. Lets go with it.
But be aware, its our country and we are responsible for watching our leaders. Forwarned is forArmed. - Reply to this comment
