Boom In Gun Sales Reflect Worry About New Democratic President And Democratic Congress
- The Power of Nightmares --
compare the rise of the Neo-Conservative movement in the United States and the radical Islamist movement, making comparisons on their origins and claiming similarities between the two. More controversially, it argues that the threat of radical Islamism as a massive, sinister organised force of destruction, specifically in the form of al-Qaeda, is a myth perpetrated by politicians in many countries%u2014and particularly American Neo-Conservatives%u2014in an attempt to unite and inspire their people following the failure of earlier, more utopian ideologies.

- Yeah, he has...when you choose friends and associates who are commies and anti-Americans, and when you support commie groups and anti-American groups, you don''''t do it unless you agree with them.

First of all, communism is an economic system. The American Indians lived in communal societies which made sense for them. You can have communism in a democracy. If the majority of your citizens vote for leaders that believe in communism as a way of handling the economy, that is their right. Voting is very democratic and very American. There is nothing unpatriotic about socialism, capitalism, socialism, or any other ism as long as it was voted on by the people. - Reply to this comment

Much ado about nothing. - Reply to this comment
- this gun buying is good for the american economy. but you guys missed the part of obama''s plan that says he will NOT interfere with sportsmans'' or gun owner''s rights. you guys just watch too much fox news misinformation.
oh and btw, obama is not a muslin. that is a piece of fabric. and he doesn''t hang out with terriers. those are dogs. however, that was mccain who ponied up $450,000 to a PLO sympathizer.
now that the election is over, you can try to learn some facts. i know that is hard, because you republicans do tend to be much less educated than obama''s supporters. - Reply to this comment

- rudy6543....Jesus, this woman is demented. I''m beginning to think that she is just lonely and by posting such ********* she knows she will get a reaction and attention. No one in their right mind could possibly believe some of the things she comes up with. I''ll admit that she does get my goat and I let her goad me into responding to her. I need to learn to just ignore her and concentrate on having discussions with sane people on here. But she sure does have a way of pissing me off.

- Tex...Your response to Lemon says a lot about you. No one has anything but contempt for the basturds that attacked us. But almost all of them were Saudis and we are still sucking up to the Saudis. Why is that? As for making a glass parking lot out of the whole area, that is a ridiculous statement. There are literally millions of innocent people there. Why would you want to kill all of them? Why would you want all that blood on your hands? Doesn''t your God teach you that we are all his children? The answer to violence is not more violence. We defend ourselves when we are attacked but we are not murderers.

- I fully support my government going over there and making a PARKING LOT out of a whole continent that supports them!

I didn''t know that Wiccans can be so evil. Making a parking lot out of a continent. My, my don''t you feel mighty and superior. Of course, you''re not. Nothing you imagine about yourself is true. - Reply to this comment
- Tex...Congratulations! You are my first cyber enemy. I don''t like you but I don''t hate you. I refuse to allow hatred to become a part of me because it only serves to destroy your soul. But I still don''t like you.

- Lemon...You know, don''t you, that you are wasting your time trying to have any kind of meaningful conversation with TEX. She is one of those people who knows everything there is to know about everything and anyone who dares to challenge her will be called an idiot and worse. She is a bully and thinks that her rants have meaning to us but in reality it just serves to show us that there are some people out there who are totally out of touch with reality. I have tried in the past to joke with her and to like her but now I don''t give two ****** what she thinks. If Obama waved a magic wand and solved every problem we face today she would still call him out of his name and insult the rest of us.

- Tex....I have had pit bull dogs for years and there has never been a second when I felt fear. I raised my kids with them and my grandkids are around them constantly and has never been a problem. Any dog can be dangerous when they are mistreated. There are many more attacks from cocker spaniels than from pit bulls. I have already stated that I support your right to own guns. At least respect my right not to.

- Tex...You continue to flap your mouth and make outrageous statements. Why don''t you give us all a break and find something else to biotch about? If all you have to do is sit around and think up things to complaign about maybe you should consider getting a job. I have listened to you for over a year now and you are like a broken record. You hate Obama..we got that. Are you so stupid as to hope for him to fail at everything and for the country to completely go down the tube? You claim you are a patriotic American. It seems that you would be hopeful that we make progress on the road to recovery. Why would you want to see things get even worse? Is it because you want to be able to say, "see, I told you so." I know you and I know what kind of response to expect from this post. But you are a bully and someone needs to have the guts to stand up to you. Call me whatever you want. Insult me and make snotty remarks to me but I will not back down. I am not afraid of you and I will be on here and in your face when you start posting your *********.

- Jim Brady, of the Reagan Administration offered up the Brady Bill. Republican, that was the first hint of gun control, not Democrats. So wake up you goober gnawing, snuff chewing, gun freaks. Like I said, it''s simple. They''ll just order a halt to manufacture and sale of the cartridges. They''ll be like gold, ya pencil-necked gozangas.

- Although I am not a gun owner, I fully support the right of people to own shotguns, hunting rifles and hand guns for personal protection. As long as these weapons are registered and the owners are responsible for them I see no problem. But I do not understand why fully automatic assault weapons are needed. These are weapons designed for one thing...taking human life. These high caliber weapons would make hamburger of a deer and I thought most hunters wanted to take the meat home for consumption. But I do believe that if guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns. So I support gun ownership but it seems that many of you gun owners hate me because I question the need for assault weapons. I support you but I don''t understand your disdain for me.

- This happens any time there is a threat of firearm ownership restrictions. Instead of these proposals getting guns of the street as they are expected to do, they cause a flood of firearms to enter the inventories.
In addition to this they cause mid term election reactions in retaliation for passing the regulations.
Unemployment or underemployment is at the root of crime. Busy people tend not to get into trouble.
I find it ironic that Barack Obama has asked Rham Emanuel to be his chief of staff. Rahm pushed through the 1994 "Assault Rifle" ban. He was the chief architect of NAFTA. Take the jobs and then take the guns? What''s up with that? I''m positive the electorate is much more concerned with job retention than with more gun laws. He worked as and Investment Banker too. With the current situation in America, this is a bad choice.
They should just go public and pledge no more firearm laws. Concentrate on rebuilding good paying industrial jobs and leave it at that. - Reply to this comment
