"Let''''s see. So far we have an ex-Palestinian terrorist as the New Chief of Staff. His claim to fame was being CEO/CFO of Freddie Mac and jumped with his Golden Parachute just before the scandal broke. Posted by ThatGuy56 at 10:04 AM : Nov 07, 2008" err your ignorance knows no bounds Rahm Emmanuel was a volunteer in the israeli defense forces during the 1991 gulf war.so much for your palestenian terrorist contention , You have to wonder how the cia and fbi let this terrorist work in the clinton white house . he did serve on the board of directors of freddy maac I believe in early 2000''s but left long before the current debacle and was not a major player.google is yoiur friend between people like wyou and the tin foilhat wearing TexwLove it will be an entertaining 8 yrs. the facts do have a liberal bias

Gates is a really good SECDEF, but I agree he has to break with the Bush Adminstration so he probably should go. Most of the names mentioned are positive ones. I worked under Danzig and Hamre in the 90s and both are really smart thoughtful guys. I really like a former US Attorney for Attorney General not some Corporate Lawyer hack.

Wes Clark for Homeland Security. If his proposal, from 2000, for a civilian reserve corp (the old civil defense on steroids) had been adopted, Katrina wouldn''t have been the mess it was. Also, he''s in tight with the Clintons which would help close some wounds in the party.

Overall it looks like Obama''s facing an embarrassment of riches. There''s some really good names, from both parties, here.

McCain for Dept. of the Interior? Dear god no. I work for the Department of the Interior. We''ve been "taking it in the shorts" by the Bush Administration for 8 years. Could we PLEASE have someone who actually wants public lands for something other than energy? Like...hiking..photography..wildlife habitat? I am all for multiple use, but the Bush Administration has been single-use. OIL AND GAS. To the detriment of our public lands.

Everyone had better wise up to the fact that Oboma is one tough politician. Even after out strategising Hilary and John, some people still thought he was soft. he isn''t. He does have a "backbone of steel" as Joe iden said. And that is what is needed.

first of all there is nothing wrong with owning guns and second yes palin does need "preach" to her own daughter but you forget obama''s family has been in the same situation he was born to a 17 year old unweed TEEN.

youngthinker.............not true. Tax the top 10% percent who own more than 80% of all income will create much revenue while decreasing tax for the middle class will enable them to buy and consume again because there will be excess money left back. the economy is as strong as its consumers. it will work. common sense over ideology.

When they lay off their middle class employees because of increased tax burden said middle class won''t be putting a whole lot back into the economy will they now?

oh sorry i forgot to add earlier that the government is as strong as our consumers were do you think corporations get there products they must consume from each other to make there own products and service sooooooo in theory if 80% of income is controlled by them then what do you have.....? I will tell you them being the larger amount of the consumers so. Think of it this way the consumers of america as you put it didnt all fold on there loans simultaneously the corporations did so according to you the economy is as only strong as us so why is it completly dead we didnt fold.....

comeon11......... thank you war dogs for the point of "bushs bailout" john mccain did vote for it but wait so did obama. Your not understanding yes it may be a tax free bail out but it is still out of there pocket. Wether they tax whatever money they want or not of the corporations, trillions is still out of there pockets and again with what plans our president has instore for us is more power of the government to stick there hands into our pockets (do some research and you will see). Hmmmm so lets look at this give trillions away tax increase that will NOT make up for the bail out (look at the numbers), talks of more power to the government to prevent this again which includes the government able to put their hands in our wallets and pull money out. Okay now some say this will never pass wait look at the house and senate! So what the democrats want they get now there is no ying & yang to our government now. now let me use your oh so quick comment of use common sense not ideology.

All these doomsday comments from the cynics are just that. They are angry that Obama won and they are going to attack him at every turn. Obama needs Washington insiders in his administration. If the presidential staff doesn''t understand the landscape, the whole mission for the agenda will never be implemented.

NEVER MIND about all the positions! Lieberman MUST GO!! There is no room for such a traitor, regardless of whether he would make the 60th in the senate. He can never nor should he ever be trusted again and you cannot hold any meetings without the fear that he would run off to his friend John. Let him sign up with the republicans, but he MUST BE FREED from the democrats, and NOW!

Obama is the doomsday boy he will let you all down in a heart beat in fact he already has. He voted for the fisa bill and the bailout as did John McCain so there is 0 difference between them. the war will continue and the economy wont recover any time soon. The Dems & the Repuds are punks lairs & thieves just like the people that voted them in

youngthinker........the Bush bail out is exactly what it is, a bail out. The bail out though is not considered revenue, and it is not taxed. that money is issued to enable banks to make loans or investments, and with that money, they are able to create huge profits which will be tax.

comeon11......let me ask you this....Giving trillions to our large corporations as a "Bail out" then taxing it is what???? Like giving 20 dollars away and instead of asking for .50 cents back in taxes they want .75 cents that is still putting a larger whole in the governments wallet. It will take many years for that to work and yes I do agree it can work, but thats of course assuming our corporations learned from that little slap on the hand and the bailout.
