Obama spent the last year giving countless pie-in-the-sky exorbitant promises, just to get elected. Around 5 minutes after he''''s declared the winner, the "pre-excuses" start streaming out, such as "This is all uphill" and "Gonna take longer than we thought" and "It will take more than one term" on and on ad nauseum. Folks, don''''t buy into this BS!! There''''s a word for this tactic in retail: bait-and-switch. And it%u2019s not just lying, it%u2019s illegal. Mr. Obama: you got 3 years. That''''s it. If we don''''t see DRAMATIC improvement in 36 months, we''''ll be voting your lying bu*tt OUT.

Who is this ''we'' you''re talking about. The 46% whose candidate lost?

chitown4716,

True. I don''''t think all McCain supporters are racists, but I think McCain/Palin did pander to the racists...unfortunately.

I totally agree!!! It was obvious that the McCain/Palin campaign was actively stirring the divisive pot of racism to win the election. Even during McCains concession speech it was apparent that their hate mongering agenda had an affect on his supporters....

HK4U,

How many wall street bankers do you see in jail after this credit debacle? You can be a thief on wall street, give yourself $484M over 8 years, and then get the government to bail you out.

I agree with you on the things you said but we no longer live in the sixties, schools are united, and Falwell is dead. I agree we need to discuss it but people from sides of the issue hold grudges. But all of us aren''t like that. I remember the South of segration. I was young but I remember and I agree it was wrong. I live in the rural South and I can tell you people are not as bad as back then. I do realize you will never change some people but we have to also realize that there are african americans in this country that hate whites. My family never owned a slave. My grandfather was a share-cropper. For this nation to heal we have to stop finger-pointing and blaming others. Proved on election day is the fact that anybody, regardless of color, creed or wealth can reach their dreams but it is a lot of hard work!!!
We must teach our children this and that you can be anything you want but you have to work for it and believe in yourself.

FromTexwLove,

My family is a rainbow nation, so your attempts to call me racist, I know is because I''ve called you a racist many times. I did because of your posts (hatred of blacks, arabs and muslims).

I really hope Bill Clinton is picked for UN Ambassador and Colin Powell for Secretary of State!

Not sure if you saw my earlier post, but Powell doesn''t want State and probably wouldn''t take it. But he might take Education and he''d be good at it as he and his wife have done a lot of work in this area through his nonprofit foundation.

The South has come along way since slavery and I think it''''s about time people let it go!

I am willing to concede that there are those in the South whohave risen above racism and that not all racists are from the South, but it would be naive to believe that there aren''t still racists out there (heck, they are right here posting on this website) and that they supported McCain.

One of the polling websites did an interesting analysis of where Republican and Democratic support INCREASED in this election over the last presidential election. It was a very interesting map: the heavy red spread from Appalachia down into the Southern-most states. I ahve to think there is a connection.

FromTexwLove,

You are the one with the problem. You run around screaming about ghettoes, etc. I''m a realist and I know the problems of race have not fundamentally changed because of one election. I do believe in dialogue and that if we want to make things better, we can only do so by talking about it.

I am from the South but I have travelled all over this nation. People I know didn''''t vote for McCain because he is white or not vote for Obama because he''''s black. We disagree with him on policies and issues such as abortion and gun rights, etc. Just because states don''''t support democratic party issues don''''t mean we''''re racist. The South has come along way since slavery and I think it''''s about time people let it go!

True, there are no absolutes...everybody who supported McCain isnt a racist....but there is something to say about a major political party being nearly ALL WHITE in a country so diversed as ours...the days of the ALL WHITE PARTY are for last century. Republicans should overhaul their party and positions to appeal to a broader spectrum of Americans......

Cuba-Is-Here.....OK, prove your claim. Show us one shread of proof that what you say is true. You can''t because it is nothing but a lie. But if you can provide any evidence of your claim I''ll be glad to apologize.

blessed1959,

I''m sorry but I don''t agree. The south was fundamentally democratic until the voting rights act of 1964. Nixon''s southern strategy was nothing but racist and it worked. Jerry Falwell and the his moral majority was a segregationist. Abortion wasn''t the first issue this group rallied against. It was the desegregation of schools.

We have to learn history, if we will grow. We still live with that history. Not talking about it doesn''t change it. In fact, if we truly want to let it go, we need to discuss it.

How about Hilary as Secretary of State??! She''s got WAY MORE going for her than Condoleeza Rice and if Condi can do it -- Hilary can sweep the floor with her in terms of experience.

Cuba-Is-Here.....You are truly one uneducated fvck. You post nonsense and you expect us to buy into it. Sorry but your stupidity is hanging out. How do you know where I stood in supporting Bush? You don''''t know *****. After 9-11 the whole country stood as one until it became obvious that the republicans were feeding us a line of *********. And even then, some of us continued to hold on hoping that Bush would do the right thing. But as the lies, (935 of them) continued we started to realize that we were being screwed. You need to step back and do a little reading before you shoot off your mouth. You don''''t want to continue to look like a moron, do you?

Wrong again jerk. The support for Bush ended when DEMONCRATS realized they wouldnt win the election if they kept supporting Bush, then they started to invest billions to destroy his government. Idiot.Blind.

LOSERS??? Maybe you should check the election results, again....you may be surprized to find that the candidate and party that you supported, are the BIGGEST LOSERS on election night.....

Wrong again stupid idiot. Americas reputation and Bush low approval are result of billions of dollars invested by the DEMONCRAT party to bash Bush and his administration in the past 7 years, all to give OBAMISLAM a chance to win this elections.

Oh thats right moron, people watched their purchasing power, jobs, retirements all vanish into thin air but that didn''t sour them, it was a huge Democratic marketing campaign. Idiot.

Colorado, New Mexico, Florida ...
It takes time ...

About blessed1959''s post, when a president is really looking for bipartisanship, there is not much reason to complain for the opposition. I just didn''t see that happening the last 8 years.
