- This country has fallen. For the first time in history we have elected an man with not past record beyond 3 yrs and no service history! Is he really african-american - descent of a black from the revolution? Is that the main reason that we would elect somebody? That is also racist!
Why should we promote jobs here in this country like he said in his last debate, when everbody is looking for a government handout? What''s the point?
Socialized medicine isn''t as great as you think it is - look at other countries who have it! Loot at military families - look at CA with all the HMOs!
Benjamin Franklin was our main founding father and his ideals for this nation do not line up with Obama. I truly believe that this is the greatest nation and honor the sacrifices of our founding fathers. WE LIVE IN A REPUBLIC not a democracy not a dictatorship. How could we elect a man that is supported by Castro? Everybody that fled Cuba that lives in Florida that voted for him have just returned home!
This country is in for its greatest disappointment and it will take decades to undo what will be done to it. I hope that everybody realizes that their freedoms are at stake. That may be that last vote you make! Bigger government is why the English fled from the Monarch and fought to have a free country. Handouts mean less freedoms! Handouts mean higher taxes! And not just the rich! Live with that! I am willing to stand and fight just like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. - Reply to this comment

CBS News'' continually declinning ratings in comparison to comparative networks is due to their unflailing (and failing)insistence and dedication to promoting the misguided archaic ideals of bigots the likes of George Wallace, David Duke, Strom Thurman and the penultimate liar Jesse Helms. The covert oppression to suppress and control Katie Couric is a prime example in conjunction with their well planned and manipulated schemes using the heralding popularity of MTV, VH1 and such to garner record television profits to enable CBS and parent company CBS Corporation aka CBS.COM/Viacom to survive without having to update the various programming to provide quality diverse entertainment more befitting of All of their viewers.
The free world is celebrating tonight with and for the United States of America for taking the step that they''ve grown to expect from a democracy that has lead the world since our involvement in the global emancipation following World War 1 and World War 2. We are the greatest and youngest country in the world and regardless of our present economic short-comings, we will survive and prevail and continue to lead in the quest for democracy, freedom and humanitarianism. Get off your high misguided horse Vaughn Ververs and realize and accept that America has spoken!

- Mr. Obama should not be cosidered "black" or "African American". It is not "politically correct." He is as much white as he is black and should not be characterized by the color of his skin, as he is as much American as he his Kenyan. If he was half Russian, would you say we elected a Russian?

- Listen to all of you. Saying you want to move and pray for the country and are scared for our future. Why? Because obama is black? Because he is muslum? Well let me throw a name at you. Adolf Hitler. And gess what. He was a Christian. The kkk christian. But do we fear people that are chritian. no. But throw the word muslum around and everyonr freaks out cause one guy (osama bin ladin) happened to be muslum. As far as taxes go. Tax me up. Everyone is afraid of taxes in this country and i don''t understand it. Look at Canada, France, England. They all have high tax rates. - I am deeply concerned and fearful for the future. All that I keep hearing is that this is a Mandate, they are looking at the electoral college numbers and calling this a mandate a landslide yet when you look at the popular vote, the head to head numbers the difference is only about the same as the last election only about 3% THAT IS NOT A MANDATE yes it is a victory but not a mandate. It is time for the electoral college to go by the way side, it is very deceiving on just how close the election was. The outcome would not be different but the reaction of the Media would be, the Media needs to look at the popular vote and look at the 3% difference and realize this is a country deeply divided. One suggestion for the incoming president that would cut waste, drug test everyone receiving government assistance, I am drug tested to make the money, how about drug testing those who receive it. Just a thought for the incoming president he talks about change that would shake things up for sure! Just in closing I am concerned for the future of our country and deciding to get alot more vocal for my beliefs and my concerns. I go to bed scared for the future of our country after tonight, and praying that we haven''t just handed our country over to the left with a blank check to tax and spend. I pray they dont plan to gring our economy to halt with taxes! I go to bed very nervous for my childrens future in a country where they will soon be the minority.

- For all those AMERICAN HATERS out there I believe we as a country need to do what Robin Williams said at a USO show in Iraq. Since all these other countries Hate the USA so much we should just pull out all our troops and all aid (food and financial) Let those people in those countries change their own government. Put the troops on our borders and keep all illegal imagrants from getting in. I have no problem with people coming to this country as long as they do it correctly. Just remember we all are either decendants of imagrants or are imagrants.
