The best hope of restoring order is a Balanced Budget Amendment.

Ya know I look at the constitution as a sacred document not to be ammended constantly for issues that only require a law, not an ammendment. I don''t want a definition of marriage ammendment, a balanced budget ammendment, an english only ammendment. You get the picture? The constitution should be changed as little as possible to retain it''s importance as the document underlying our entire democracy! Fiscal responsibilty can be mandated by law AND our constant oversight of the crooks we elect to office!

But, the Republican party does now have a Balanced Budget Amendment in their platform.

If you believe that, you also believe in the Easter bunny.

The facts speak for themselves.

$10 TRILLION in four years!!

That''s the Republican way!!

No new taxes but pass the debt to our kids and grandkids!!

So, here''s how we need to work this gov''t of ours. We vote out the republicans this yr and put the demos on notice that we''ll bounce them out in two yrs (CONgress) if they f*k up. Then we actually do it. We keep this up, along with marches on DC, until we get the gov''t we want. Since these people have totally f*k''d up my country I advise violence as a way to get their attention!!!

The Republicans don''t believe in taxes but THEY SURE BELIEVE IN SPENDING!!

Bush''s great legacy - $10 TRILLION DEBT in four years!

Where''s the money coming from?

DEBT!! Like credit card debt!

And our kids and grandkids will have to pay for it!!

But trusting a Democratic monopoly to show fiscal discipline? Isn''''''''t that like trusting the fox with the hen house?
Posted by AtheismWins

You''''re catching on. It''''s time for new directions including viable third party candidates and 3 MONTH only campaigns!!!!!

The best hope of restoring order is a Balanced Budget Amendment.

Democratic Senators are an enormous obstacle. Impatience of the American people is an obstacle. One party rule is an obstacle.

But, the Republican party does now have a Balanced Budget Amendment in their platform.

"National Debt Soars $500B In Under A Month"

One more reason to vote for McCain/Palin.

Together they promise to double the national debt to $20 TRILLION in four years.

When it comes to spending, no one does it better than the Republicans.

Bush doubled the national debt to $10 Trillion.

Count on McCain to do the SAME!!

I just hope corporate America sees the light and realizes they need to do something.

Keep in mind that these practices are espoused by the MBA''s that we send to state supported colleges (your tax dollars at work). Also to blame is CONgress, a bunch of lawyers who know nothing about business. I guess that pretty much addresses the root causes!!

An increased retirement age is also possible. This could also increase unemployment.....
Posted by AtheismWins

Ha, fat chance. We''''re already seeing older workers being laid off in larger numbers. The job loss will be in the older worker range. Therefore, everyone will just spend the last employable years of their life unemployed, waiting to get old enough for their higher retirement age. Also, younger workers are paid less. I recommend a march on DC with pitchforks, shovels and torches. Vote out all incumbents and take them to trial for Un-American activities (bankrupting our country)!!

Debt has made things a lot more difficult. That''s for sure.

I hold out hope for a Balanced Budget Amendment. But we are currently on a path to spend ourselves into bankruptcy.

Who knows when the tax increase will come? Who knows when the retirement age will be raised.

It may take putting Democrats in the White House until Republicans get a Balanced Budget Amendment through Congress. But my faith in the American people is shaky. They want a quick fix when there is no quick fix.
