It you doubt whale08''''s trickle up economic plan, just look at Zimbabwe, Cuba, North Korea, and Burma [Myanmar]. If it works there, it should work here.

And if you doubt ''tricle-down'' fascism then just look at Mexico, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.

Well, I''''m voting for the candidate who has served and loved his country. The most qualified candidate who has experience and is not counting on learning the role of president through on the job training. In these times of crisis in this country, how can we possibly rely on the promises of a smooth talking community organizer? I hope in my lifetime I will be able to see the first black president elected. Just not this snake in the grass.

Sen Byrd from WV has more experience than McCain.

By your own failed logic, that makes him "more qualified"?

IDIOT, I know what he wants so stop with the OLD LINE of trickle down. Say what your messiah says ...SHARE THE WEALTH, SPREAD IT AROUND ........ which means raise taxes for hardworking Americans to give to the crackheads.

Hey idiot, I would rather give it ''crackheads'' and ''welfare queens'' then bailout ''crooks'' and ''cronies'' on Wall Street!!!

It''''s amazing to see the logic of the ''''faithful'''' of ''''trickle-down'''' economics, they believe that taxes on the rich are the wrong incentive to stimulate the ''''middle-class'''' yet they believe that the rich will voluntarily stimulate the ''''middle-class''''.

I never understood that logic.

Posted by whitemale08 at 09:25 AM : Nov 01, 2008

Even after it''s been proven time, and time, and time again.

The rich squirrel away their money, and stimulate NOTHING for the middle class.

And then here comes McCain and Palin telling their rallies that Obama is going to "spread the wealth" with their money, even though NONE of them make over $100,000 / year.

Jesus was a community organizer, Pontius Pilate a governor.

grouchyjohn: I do believe in limiting the right to vote to living Americans over the age of 17.

Posted by downsteamjim at 09:21 AM : Nov 01, 2008

So what about the republicans hiring fake police officers and stationing them at inner city voting booths to try and scare away the black voting bloc?

How about the tactic of mailing out letters telling people that democrats are supposed to vote on Wednesday, or that the voting will be postponed by a week if it''s raining?

How about comparing democratic voting lists versus the DMV records, and getting people kicked off the voting rolls for silly "infractions" like a missing initial, like "John Q. Adams" / "John Adams"?

Those are all acceptable practices to you? Denying someone their constitutional right to vote is anti-American. Doing it on such a massive scale is an act of terrorism in my book......

"John McCain has served his country longer in a POW camp than his opponent has in the United States Senate," Schwarzenegger said. "I only play an action hero in the movies. John McCain is a real action hero."

Then you need to write in "John McClane", not "McCain".

whale08: I suggest you move to a place where you can get NBC, CBS, NPR, NYT, Wash Post, ABC, LaTimes, etc. Why are liberals afraid of opposing views?

HOW DOES THE POOR MAKE ANYONE RICH?.....That''''s what Obama means when he says trickle down. He want''''s the TRICKLE UP??? Makes no sense.

Posted by OneWayRight at 09:25 AM : Nov 01, 2008--

No one ever said the ''poor makes anyone rich'' but if the poor have money too then they are more willing to spend then the rich, which makes the rich richer!

That''s how ''trickle-up'' works idiot.

Grouchyjohn: The ''''''''fairness doctrine'''''''' is a classic method to end free speech. Would NPR, CBS, ABC, NBC, NYT, Wash. Post, and mainstream liberal media be affected? Of course not, it would only be used against anti liberal groups.

Posted by downsteamjim at 09:20 AM : Nov 01, 2008--

Hey buddy, if it takes the ''fairness doctrine'' to counter the smears and lies into war on talk radio, then so be it.

A fat cat billionaire that just got another $1,000,000 tax break that he''''s going to stash in an offshore non-taxable account, or 1,000 families with $1,000 each that need to buy food, clothes, etc, etc?

I could care less about the fairness doctrine - only a moron would get the latest news and updates from AM radio, "hate America", conservative talk show hosts.

But I ask my question again:

I am curious to know what you think / feel about the republicans trying to ban as many people from their constitutional right to vote (aka "disenfranchising them")?

The disaster is DEMS Clinton, Frank and Dodd. The very ones that the mortgage melt lies at their feet.
And you all know it. Obama can pull every troop out of Iraq, tax 1/2 your income @ $40,000 and up and STILL not have enough to pay for all his PORK.

Your liberal economists says Obama''s plans won''t work.

Trickle down??? Yeah, everybody going to get wealthy by TRICKLING UP??? DOES A RIVER DOESN''''T RUN UPSTREAM TO FILL A LAKE...

Got anything else????

Posted by OneWayRight at 09:17 AM : Nov 01, 2008

That''s an incompetent comparison. You''re calling the wealthy "a lake" and the middle class "the river".

Why does the lake need to get even MORE water, if it''s already full?

And who is going to stimulate the economy more by spending:

A fat cat billionaire that just got another $1,000,000 tax break that he''s going to stash in an offshore non-taxable account, or 1,000 families with $1,000 each that need to buy food, clothes, etc, etc?
