- slownewsday: Dereg did boost our economy. The Dow was at 14K+ a year and three weeks ago. What Dereg did not count on was weapons of mass economic destruction, such as the massive rise of the price of oil, which drove prices up, caused people to stop spending, caused stores to terminate employees, caused fired employees to stop paying their mortgages and took us to where we are today!!! Dereg also boosted the Clinton economy until that balloon burst as well!!! We sometimes have to take a couple of steps back so we can see the forest AND the trees.

- Obama, before making your "Closing Argument" you need to answer the following statement which you made in 2001. Tape of a 2001 Chicago Public Radio interview with Barack Obama surfaced today. In the interview, Obama lamented that the Supreme Court did not intervene to redistribute wealth during the civil rights movement. In light of Obama%u2019s much more recent comment to Joe the Plumber he clearly believes in taking money from people who have earned it and giving it to people who didn%u2019t. Obama''s defense is no defense at all, but a sleight of hand. Obama is being dishonest about his true intentions. That gets to character and tells us that his is flawed.
