Debate Over "Spread The Wealth Around" Comment Reveals Complicated (And Contradictory) Feelings
- You democrats are right on a lot of things done these past 8 years.
But be prepared to work longer hours to help the worlds poverty problem.
Be prepared.
I really hope Obama wins so you can taste the hours of drudgery you will have to endure under a socialistic program.
Then you can cry, probably keeping quite about it, for a new change!
Then it will only get worse because of the snowball thats already would be moving down the hill fast!
I am scared for America if Obama Hussein is elected! - Reply to this comment
- Regardless of party, no one has the right to control what we as individuals do with our money. You guys need to look into what the Democrats are proposing to do with our 401(k)s. And that''s no BS. Use your own money to help out others, I already do my share without government interference.

- The McCain Camp -versus- The Palin Camp
I''m on your side Sarah Palin, these good ole boys (Bush, McCain, Rove) are starting to look around for people to throw off the bus to take the spoflight off of their failed campaign. This has been a straight SETUP, look at the evidence ($150KClothingGate, TrooperGate, FakeSpendCamapignGate, SNLPunchingBagGate, WitchHunterGate, FakePlumberGate, etc.) - Reply to this comment

- A reporter today ask Joe Biden how is your tax Policy not Marxism?
Joe said ''is that a question'' without answering the question.
The Obama camp said they won''t be doing anymore interviews with that type of media.
Posted by doctor--cool at 01:19 PM : Oct 26, 2008
Because it was a BS question. They want to essentially roll back Bush''s tax cuts to the rates that Clinton had. Since no one accused Clinton of being a Marxist (rightly so), then Obama and Biden shouldn''t have to put up with these right wing smears, either.
All you do is cut and paste and call people names. You have no clue what it means to engage in a dialogue.
In short, you are nothing but a troll and probably a McCain-paid Astroturfer as well. - Reply to this comment
- You are a.*.*.*.*.*.
Taxes are necessary to fund the government in accordance with the Constitution.
To provide for national security, build roads , government projects ect.%u2026
Not for income redistribution.
What%u2019s worse It won%u2019t help. It will hurt , because it takes capital (fuel) away from the private sector.

First of all, don''t call me an a.*.*.*.*.*.
Secondly, it is MORE than obvious that you haven''t got a flipping CLUE as to what I was referring to.
Thirdly, please explain to me in detail, how you think that Obama''s plan is going to ''redistribute wealth'' differently from Clinton. I know you said that Clinton''s plan paid down the deficit, but you have NEVER said HOW you think Obama''s plan will be used differently. And if you answer by saying he will ''redistribute the wealth'', then all you are doing is engaging in circular arguments going nowhere. What I want to know is HOW (in detail) you think he will. - Reply to this comment
- I''m voting Democrat because I believe groups like ACORN who register felons, drug addicts, wino%u2019s, homeless drifters, illegal aliens, dead people, children, fictional Disney characters, etc. makes my vote count more.
Posted by doctor--cool at 12:42 PM : Oct 26, 2008
ACORN does not "register" people - or fictional characters! Only the Government register people to vote. All ACORN does is submit registration APPLICATIONS which it has helped people fill out. Some of its workers have filled them out fraudulently, a fact which has been acknowledged by ACORN. Some workers do this, evidently, because they are paid by the number of registration applications they submit. It''s a system inviting fraud, but ACORN at least tries to flag the erroneous applications. There is no evidence the Government has REGISTERED a substantial number of fraudulent "voters". Even if they mistakenly did, such a voter (Mickey Mouse?) would have to show up to vote and get past the voting officials. Unlikely. - Reply to this comment
- It may be time to reconsider a POLL TAX to pay for and eliminate all the abuse.
They should be raising hell because of the expense this abuse is causing.
ACCORN is a Democratic organized crime syndicate.

- I''m OK with the progressive tax system but I fundamentally disagree with using the tax system to redistribute wealth.
It won''t help. It will hurt,
Posted by doctor--cool at 12:38 PM : Oct 26, 2008
The progressive tax structure, by it''s very nature, IS redistributing the wealth.
And it''s been redistributing the wealth for the past right years as well--problem is, that it''s been redistributing it UPWARDS--it''s time to correct that so that the middle class has more of their money to spend. - Reply to this comment

- Who in the hell can give Obama $200 dollars for his election? Money is tight? Where is the money coming from?
Just where is all this money coming from to elect Obama?
Posted by OBOMINATION at 12:37 PM : Oct 26, 2008
It must mean there are people wealthy enough that they can afford to give a bit more in taxes and think that would be a good idea for the country! Imagine that. Kinda obliterates the idea that Obama is only for the poor. He is for ALL Americans, and lots of wealthy people know and understand that. - Reply to this comment
- Please ask yourself WHERE is Obama getting the money? WHERE?
Posted by OBOMINATION at 12:37 PM : Oct 26, 2008
There are MANY US citizens who are more than happy to sacrifice some of their hard-earned money to elect a candidate to change the horrible direction that this country has taken. People are willing to skip going to movies or even spending extra on Christmas to do this.
Sorry your candidate doesn''t have as many people that believe in him and are willing to pony-up for it. - Reply to this comment

WASHINGTON (Reuters) %u2013 John McCain received nearly $7 million in 6,652 donations that exceeded contribution limits while seeking the Republican presidential nomination, the Democratic National Committee said on Saturday.
The DNC listed the figure in a complaint it said it will file on Monday with the Federal Election Commission. - Reply to this comment
