Taxation IS redistribution of wealth, and always has been. The gov''t takes your money, and in return builds roads, bridges, libraries, airports, aircraft carriers, and pays the salaries of the military, first responders and employees. There is nothing radical, revolutionary, or "socialist" about restructuring the tax code.

Now, hold on folks, I want to shed a tear for the uber rich you might just have to pay some taxes. OMG, I can''t handle it. How can you tax those poor rich people. Somebody who makes over 21,000 dollars a month may actually have to pay taxes. How totally unfair is that?????? You pathetic people who only earn 3,000 a month at ditch digging, should be happy to pay all the taxes for them.

I would have to say that the current tax levels are just fine. It is where the taxes end up being spent that is the problem.

The war in Iraq is costing us trillions. The pentagon gets ridiculous funding. If we didnt think it was our place to police the world and prop up third-world dictators for financial gain (Sha of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Saddam etc......) we would not have such a large need for trillions in military spending. We would have less dependence on foreign oil, and we could stop running around the world and constantly being in wars. We are always in wars. It is like it is out national pastime. People love it.

I think it is time to use our taxes for American interests. Not corporate interests.
