Most probably because history shows the "Right" are usually the aggressors, trying to force hegemony on an unwilling populace, and the "Left" are usually the defenders.

In reporting, a part of honest journalism explores the question "why'' and in relation to the agenda of the right, the answer would not be at all acceptable to civilized people.

Also, it wouldn''t be good for the morale of the right to know they are losing resources at a 2 to 1 ratio.

"Purges" under Stalin are pretty well documented (in terms of statistics that contributes pretty much to the left record). Same for the Red Kmehrs.
On the right record, you''ll find the Nazis and, later, all the regimes our country has backed as a protection against communism (Batista, for example).

I might be outraged if your version were accurate, but it is not. Sure Mugabe rewarded his cronies, but the largest proportion of land grants were made to those who actually did the work on the farmland, and certainly knew how.

Why are they failing? Because the Europeans, egos smarting from the recovery of the land and eager to "avenge" the loss of land they stole in the first place, proceeded to place embargoes, preventing Zimbabwe from purchasing vital equipment, and they also devalued the currency, so that even the "underground tunnels" used to bust embargoes were closed off, the Zimbabwean currency is worthless outside the country.

It is like denying a man soap, then complaining that he smells badly.

This is why I said that we need a public owned infrastructure. Not to eliminate private enterprise, but to provide a lower cost alternative to industries that presently collude rather than compete.

For example, health care. I posit public hospitals staffed by doctors who are working a four-year bond at a good but not top salary to repay for subsidized med school. After four years, if they want to go private, OK. These hospitals publish the rates for the more common procedures, priced to cover operating expenses, being profit neutral. For the poorest, the cost will be credited to the hospitals annual budget.

The existence of such an alternative will force private health care firms to justify their higher costs with improved services, or lower their costs.

My point is that the trickle down, privatize everything model of economics has obviously failed, and it is time to bring the pendulum back toward the left, until there is a balance. The current knee jerk aversion to anything that will help the common man is what will soon catalyze social anarchy, we should work now while it is still controllable.
