NP. I''m currently listening to a Fresh Air podcast on voter fraud. It''s interesting but very disturbing.

Cheers.

The company that built Ted Stevens homes second floor was VECO owned by Bill Allen and they are not a construction firm they are an oil pipeine builer.

Posted by Obiden08 at 04:51 PM : Oct 14, 2008

VECO was the company that paid for it--The company I named is supposed to be one of the subcontractors who actually built the home and did a lot of the Steven''s home remodel.

I trust McCain to protect Americans from the tax and spend Democrats on Capital Hill that got us into this mess.

Hey, there, McCain wants to reduce healthcare benefits to Vets too. He wants to reprioritze monies so that some illness are not covered, turn some of you over to private healthcare and he also wants to reduce the monetary/educational awards of the GI bill. Better check with your VA headquarters about McCain''s record on Vet issues and his new proposals--you may find that the tax and spend of Dems is nothing compared to the economic butt fvcking McCain has in store--especially for you Vets. LOL

BREAKING: McCain Transition Chief Lobbied For Saddam Hussein

William Timmons, the Washington lobbyist who John McCain has named to head his presidential transition team, aided an influence effort on behalf of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to ease international sanctions against his regime.

The two lobbyists who Timmons worked closely with over a five year period on the lobbying campaign later either pleaded guilty to or were convicted of federal criminal charges that they had acted as unregistered agents of Saddam Hussein''s government.

During the same period beginning in 1992, Timmons worked closely with the two lobbyists, Samir Vincent and Tongsun Park, on a previously unreported prospective deal with the Iraqis in which they hoped to be awarded a contract to purchase and resell Iraqi oil. Timmons, Vincent, and Park stood to share at least $45 million if the business deal went through.

Is illegal -- it''''''''s called voter suppression.

Yes, that''''s what I was saying. Both are illegal, but the later is a real and direct threat to democracy. By the People, for the People.

your taxes will go up under both. One will tell you they are taxing you--the other will just hide it in fees, FICA and user taxes that appear at any restuarant, on every utility bill, and in an increase in the amount your state must collect from you. If you add up the amount of taxes we pay hidden in the phone, gas, light, water and other bills--you will find you have been paying more taxes all along, but for some people, as long as what they pay is not called a TAX, they don''''t care that they really are still paying taxes.

Posted by harbinger09 at 04:47 PM : Oct 14, 2008

For McCain/Palin--your increased taxes will be in the Health care plan that he will "give" you. But you should not worry--at least on paper, it will appear as if you made more money--even though you will never get it or be able to spend it since the "credit" goes to the insurance company or your employer.

Vs Republicans that spend like drunken sailors on liberty and never pay their bill. Please bring back the tax and spend Democrats -- anyone other than those drunken Republican pseudo-conservatives.

he cost to Palin and Todd for this home-- for the materials and labor--but the company was awarded the multimillion dollar contract to build the Wasilla sports complex. Stay tuned, Sarah may have more in common with Ted than just being on his 527 board.

Posted by harbinger09 at 04:40 PM : Oct 14, 2008

Sorry, meant to write that the amount Palin paid for her Wasilla home was ZERO dollars. That''s the new, reformed way of politics--get rid of pesky building permits first, then get your kickback in the form of a home, then award the contract. Nice and tidy, right? Sarah?

Well said. We have been paying out the nose for Bush''s wonderful rich corporate tax cuts. Gas prices have gone up, though their taxes went down. When we have such wonderful debt, our dollar loses its value.

So then why is McCain proposing to tax employee benefits such as Health Insurance and such? Why does he want to destroy what little help we have out here? Is it because he doesn''t view health care as a right, so he wants to make sure none of us have it?

The ultimate question remains, "Who do you trust?" I trust McCain to protect Americans from the tax and spend Democrats on Capital Hill that got us into this mess.

Posted by Texas_Vet at 04:36 PM : Oct 14, 2008

So in a nutshell--you do not trust the tax and spend Democrats but you do trust the even larger spend and borrow Republicans? at least the Dems would be trying pay as you go--don''t ya see the party for the borrow and spend just ended with a bailout of almost a TRILLION dollars which you will have to pay?

your taxes will go up under both. Both candidates need to remember we are a market based economy, and not a socialist command economy. ...

Posted by Texas_Vet at 04:36 PM

With Bush and Paulsom buying (nationalizing) considerable portions of the financial institutions I would suggest a little research into the definition of communism before asserting that clearly historic market based economy stuff too loudly.

registering or trying to register voters fraudulently (BTW it''''s very difficult to prove any of those "people" actually voted),and

Posted by ibzjem at 04:25 PM

Actually getting these people onto the state validated voter roles requires validation of information like drivers license, State ID or the last 4 digits of the SSN -- much harder than it used to be.

Like McCain (13 + houses) and Palin''''s with all that glass no wonder she can see Russia from her porch!

Posted by ozilot at 04:26 PM : Oct 14, 2008

The story is that Palin got her house as part of a kickback for awarding a contract to a certain construction company. She thought she got rid of the paper trail by getting rid of permits--but the company that provide the materials for her home and a lot of the labor has admitted to donating them and the labor to Palin .

This is the home she claimed Todd and a "few friends" built. I believe the name of the company was Spinora or something like that--anyway, it is one of the same companies that built the second floor onto Ted Stevens home.

The cost to Palin and Todd for this home-- for the materials and labor--but the company was awarded the multimillion dollar contract to build the Wasilla sports complex. Stay tuned, Sarah may have more in common with Ted than just being on his 527 board.

"Perhaps never before in history have the American people been asked to risk so much based on so little," McCain told a suburban Philadelphia audience about his opponent.

Agree with you John but not about Obama - Voting for you and Palin would be a huge risk with very little chance for any real return.
