- Obama%u2019s campaign said that Obama did not know who Ayers was. They both lived in the same neighborhood in Chicago and he didn%u2019t know? How can anyone believe that he wasn%u2019t told by someone who Ayers was. I also find it hard to believe that someone who is supposed to be so educated never heard of Ayers. That%u2019s like saying someone who lives in California doesn%u2019t know anything about OJ Simpson. It amazes me how Obama%u2019s supporters can call McCain and Palin liars and not see the lies in Obama.

- It''s a shame that grown people who want to run our county resort to this kind of behavior - we are a county in a crisis. We should be hearing what they intend to do about that. - This is so low. What are they even trying to imply? He has served on community service boards with Ayers who is now and has been for a long time a distinguished professor. Do they mean to say that if Obama is elected he will use his power to commune with terrorists? It is so ridiculous and low. There is no politician who has not had some ''associations'' with people of ill repute. McCain certainly included. The question is - what was the association, was there impropriety? and how will that effect them as president. This has long ago been answered regarding Ayers. It is sad to see someone tout themselves as an honorable war hero and run such a dishonorable campaign. As for Sarah Palin, she doesn''t know what''s going on. She is just a tool and too ignorant to know it.

- McCain positioned himself as a military expert who knew foreign affairs inside out - except that it wasn%u2019t true. McCain%u2019s only military experience was graduating from Annapolis in the bottom 1% of his class, then crashing 5 planes due his disregard of learning how to fly. He spent most of his time in the military as a POW after, again, crashing a plane. Fellow POW%u2019s who were captives with McCain in Hanoi say his nickname was %u201Csongbird%u201D because he talked so much to his captors, and that McCain was given special treatment because his father was a four star admiral.

Chicago has a tradition for bomb makers beginning with the Haymarket affair bomb that killed 7 police officers in 1886. The bomb was thrown during a May Day rally for striking workers. There is a statue in Haymarket Square marking the place of the bombings.
A Chicago native the Unabomber is now serving a life sentence at SuperMax Federal Penitentiary in Florence Colorado for killing three people with mail bombs.
