wait a minute....didn''t the McCain campaign come out and send out a press release saying the soldier''s family didn''t want O wearing the bracelet??? Just another McCain lie. Nothing new here. He''s desperate.

I watched the debate and mccain tried to use that bracelet for his own political gain, I do not believe he gives a s-hit about our Soldiers. Obama was respectful and genuine when he spoke of this young Seargent and his Mom.God bless all of our Soldiers!

Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck have been spewing one-sided hypocrisy all over the airwaves also. Anyone not willing to debate more than one side of any story is trying to sell you what he thinks is best for HIM, not YOU, the taxpayer. Furthermore, ALL organizations who''d like to call themselves ''NEWS'' should give equal opportunity to every candidate who qualifies to be on the ballot.

Maybe what we need is someone who''s NOT Republican NOR Democrat for a change. Both parties have continued to let American taxpayers down horribly. I think most of us agree to that.

I am writing this message to inform people of the injustice being perpretrated by Fox News against Barack Obama. For the past two weeks there has been nothing but negative reporting against senator Obama by the Fox News network, which is unfair to listeners and the candidate. This networks seemingly biased opinions are not of interest to us viewers. My concern is that negative reporting like this will influence voters that are undecided of which candidate best express their wishes. I depend on these news stations for fair, accurate and just reporting regardless of the outcome whether it be a debate or any other current event and if that cant be accomplished I feel that it is grounds for that station (Fox News network) to be boycotted until they learn and understand that those types of injustices will not be tolerated. If anyone else can relate to the unfair reporting of Fox News I suggest that you join us in a boycott of this news station. PASS THIS MESSAGE ALONG.

Every 4 years the Republicans take their outworn, discredited philosophy and dress it up in a new disguise--and try to sell it to the American people. They try to convince the people it''s been made over into something different.

This year, they tried to clothe it in the shining armor of a national hero. But before the campaign has ended, each 4 years, the new disguise wears mighty thin. In fact, you can see through it, and you can see that nothing''s changed.

John McCain graduated (as I recall) fairly low in his class at Annapolis (I am being polite here). Sarah Palin went through four different colleges on her way to a B.A. in Journalism. Small wonder we have a political party that ridicules intelligent people at the head of their class with a strong mind and the tools to make the right decisions quickly.

John McCain is so sure of his military prowess because he supported the surge. That is like a mechanic that first tells you to put sugar in your gas tank, then suggests you add some honey and then years later recommends your engine needs an overhaul costing a fortune. Yup! He''s right about the surge, but wrong about the war. We didn''t need the loss of thousands of lives and wasted billions of dollars and in the first place.

Can we be SERIOUS here for just a second and try to drop this party-vs-party ***?

Palin is incapable of holding a PRESS CONFERENCE! Can anyone POSSIBLY imagine a PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, the greatest nation ever on this earth, being INCAPABLE of meeting with a group of reporters?

This woman is a JOKE. McCain was a FOOL to select her after a short meeting and a phone call. God help us if these losers win the election.

kwa7154 said, "It''s obvious that McCain wore that bracelet simply to use it as a tool... (so) why did (McCain) vote against most bills that were for the support of the troops abroad and when they come home? Look it up... (McCain) used (the bracelet) as a stunt to try and stump Obama but he did not know Obama had one on too and if you look at McCain''s face when Obama said he had one on too, that said it all."
---

You noticed that, too? It was a telling moment in the exchange, because McCain had no way of knowing Obama wore that bracelet until the surprising, fatal moment. McCain "misunderestimated" his worthy opponent, since Obama wore the bracelet without making a show of it.

By now, many have read about Nixon and his Madison Avenue soap-marketing campaign style detailed in Joe McGinniss''s THE SELLING OF THE PRESIDENT. (Please, do not read this book while eating.) Nixon''s campaign was cheesy and contrived to the point of offense because the people selling Nixon believed he had no intrinsic worth of his own.

Likewise, what would McCain be today, had he not been shot down? The bracelot mention reminds us Karl Rove and his disciples are at work, and have invested a considerable effort in making McBush fly-- even if most of it is smoke and mirrors. The problem with Rove and his cheap tricks is they are exposed quickly and tend to fall apart. Witness Sarah Palin.

dhutch88, you need to get your sources and news somewhere beside Fox. Fox has the dumbest things on. McSane tried to use the barcelet as a victory in Iraq point but got shot down by Obama.

FOX News ran the same story but cut the portion where the Mom says she was ecstatic after Sen. Obama mentioned her son, and added the story which she prefers not to have her son metioned by Obama''s campaign, which was way back in February. Fox made it appear it was against the Mom''s wishes at this time. McCain picked up the story from Fox and began telling everyone in his campaign how Sen. Obama exploited it. It''s funny how everything goes when one network is closely tied to a party.

Didn''t you ever noticed back in 2000 when Fox first reported that they predict Bush won Florida, when other networks have predicted it''s going for the Al Gore? Then it turned out FOX was right after the controversial recount. Tsk, tsk. Something''s fishy is on air.

Obama is a true patriot. Republicans have a history of exploiting patriotism for political reasons. McBush is disingenuous and pretty much a mouth piece for Karl Rove''s right wing extremist manipulations of the press and public. It''s so transparent by now.

It''s obvious that McCain wore that bracelet simply to use it as a tool. He didn''t wear it to honor that soldier and his sacrifice because if his actions were truly honorable, then why did he vote against most bills that were for the support of the troops abroad and when they come home? Look it up. How many veterans were at the GOP convention giving McCain support? A former POW. Not many. He used it as a stunt to try and stump Obama but he did not know Obama had one on too and if you look at McCain''s face when Obama said he had one on too, that said it all.

How DARE YOU tell a mother who has lost her son what YOU think. You should be ashamed of yourself. The person who sentenced her son to death was George W. Bush.

Blah, blah, blah.

It cleverly showed how the "affordable mortgage" programs sent an economic virus through the entire economy and showed Republican efforts to intervene and regulate being blocked.

john43218

Aren''t the Republicans totally opposed to market intervention, and haven''t they done everything they possibly can to weaken government and oversight?

You can''t have it both ways, guys!
